Aidan McQuade

Aidan started playing hockey at the age of 7 for Dunfermline Carnegie until the age of fifteen where he moved to Inverlieth for a year, then eventually moving to Grove Menzieshill, Dundee, his current club. In 2020 Aidan graduated from Abertay University where he studied Sport and Management and now currently studying for a Masters in Marketing at St Andrews University. He has played all junior levels for Scotland and in 2018, aged 19, he received his first cap for the Scotland senior squad. In 2018 he was also selected to be part of the GB EDP programme and in 2019 was as part of the Scotland squad that competed at the Senior European A Division in Antwerp. Aidan is an amazing player with huge technical knowledge and enjoys demonstrating all his skills, especially his speciality of the drag flick.

Albert Rowling

Playing top level hockey with Grove Menzieshill Men's 1st XI Albert has great skills, patience and is so keen to share his top knowledge to all boys and girls.

Bethan Mann

A superb player Bethan has all the up-to-date plays and skills to enthuse all age groups as she is so passionate about the game.

Dan Coultas

Job Titles:

Former Great Britain & current Scotland Hockey player Dan has over 80 combined Great Britain & Scotland Caps with more than 40 goals to his name. Dan played in Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014 and has represented his country all over Europe. Dan is currently a Strength and Conditioning expert in his field and loves to coach hockey. His range of skills is amazing and he clearly loves the interaction with youngsters and being able to develop their abilities.

DAVID STOTT

Job Titles:

David is HPC Scotland Director of Hockey and runs the sports camps during the annual holidays. David previously worked for Scottish Hockey for over 16 years and has been coaching for over 20 years having had a successful playing career with Dundee Wanderers and Scotland. His coaching experience ranges from working with Senior women, Senior men, Junior women and Junior men, having been very fortunate to have coached at World Cups, European Championships and Commonwealth Games. David's style of coaching is emphasis on empowering the athletes to understand the game and challenge their personal development through motivated sessions and energy throughout. He especially enjoys seeing the talent on show at the camps and taking them to a new personal level of achievement.

Gavin Cruickshanks

An excellent coach, confident and so knowledgeable Gavin is a real character and excellent at giving feedback and help to players of all ages and abilities.

Graeme (Geeg) Stuart

Geeg as he is fondly named is a brilliant GK coach with masses of experience at every level of the game.

Louise (Squidge) Campbell

Louise or Squidge is from Perth and has played for Perthshire before moving to Edinburgh University to study PE. She has recently returned from the European Under 21 tournament with Scotland where she was a key player in the squad. Fit, fast and with amazing skills she is a role model to any girls and boys out there who want to aspire to play for Scotland.

Nicki Cochrane

Nicki is a brilliant Goalkeeper who plays for Edinburgh University. EU won the women's 1st Division in 2014 - 2015 season and this was due to Nicki's GK skills. She plays for Scotland and is a great person with lots of energy and advice to give to all you budding GK stars!

PAULINE STOTT

Pauline was honoured the MBE by the Queen in the 2016 Birthday Honours list. This is for Service to Hockey and Sport in Scotland. Pauline's hockey career started when she was 12 years old and progressing to play for Scotland at Under 16, Under 18, Under 21 and Scotland levels. Her first Scotland cap was given to Pauline at the age of just 19. Pauline played for Scotland for 12 years, gaining 123 caps and proudly being Captain for 7 of those years. She has been all over the world from Australia, Asia, and Europe with the squads and performed as striker, midfield and defender along her fantastic hockey journey having competed in EVERY World hockey competition including European Cups, Commonwealth Games, World Cup and Olympics x 2. Playing for Great Britain is the highlight of Pauline's career with first caps coming in 1991 with a trip to New Zealand. She was selected as Vice Captain for the Atlanta 1996 Olympics and had the honour of being Captain at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Retiring in 2000 after the Olympics to spend time with her family Pauline ended up with 203 GB/Scotland caps in total. Her coaching style is one which is open and honest as Pauline is keen to share her love of the game with passion through direct emphasis on correct technique to ensure that all the boys and girls have a solid foundation of skill to work on to reach their goals and dreams.

Steven Glass

Steven started playing for Dundee Wanderers at the age of 10 and during that spell had domestic and European success over 18 years. He then played for Cala Edinburgh and in this time, winning many National Junior caps at Under15, 16, 18 and 21 levels gaining over 120 caps. He then went on to represent Scotland Senior National team both indoor and outdoor receiving over 60 caps before picking up a career threatening injury. For coaching Steven has coached at youth level for Club and District and been part of National selection and Regional Performance Academies. Steven is now a full time PE teacher after previous holding posts as a Hockey Development Officer and Head of Boys' hockey at a large Independent school. Now Steven is player/coach at Dunfermline Carnegie H.C winning promotion both indoor and outdoor and playing National Vets hockey. His playing position is right side midfield/forward. Steven loves to coach players to improve their basic skills and perception/interpretation and you can be sure that Steven loves the games and makes the training and playing great fun too!
