Brigid Rodgers

Job Titles:

Brigid is a Chartered accountant with over 30 years of experience, she previously worked for North of England Ventures and has been with Key Capital Partners since its formation in 2007. Married with 2 daughters, Brigid enjoys cooking for family and friends, walking and getting lost in a good book.

James Excell

Prior to joining Key Capital Partners in 2016, James spent eight years working in corporate finance and restructuring at FTI Consulting and previously Grant Thornton. James has experience of advising management teams, shareholders and debt providers through a range of corporate scenarios, including; strategic planning, turnarounds and restructurings, acquisitions and divestments, operational integrations and transformation programmes. James is a chartered accountant (ACA-ICAEW). James lives in London and away from work enjoys playing golf, cricket and tennis.

James Hall

James is an experienced private equity investor who's worked in the sector for 16 years. He has held senior positions with a number of private equity houses including Royal Bank Development Capital, ISIS Equity Partners and NorthEdge Capital. He has also acted as a non-executive director for a number of businesses including Sumo Digital and Ramsdens Financial; and most recently he has joined the board of food intolerance testing business YorkTest. James lives near Sheffield with his wife and two football mad teenage sons. When he's not at work, he enjoys road cycling, watching the mighty Blades and generally trying to keep fit.

Laura Howes

Laura joins from the transaction services team at RSM where she spent four years assisting private equity, banks and acquisitive corporates, both in the UK and overseas, with their financial due diligence requirements. Prior to that, she trained as a chartered accountant before moving into a general corporate finance role in 2008, gaining valuable experience of the entire merger and acquisition process. Laura is married with two children and lives in Wakefield. Outside of work, she enjoys trying out new crafts, a bit of DIY while she renovates her family home as well as spending time with family and friends.

Matt Tice

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Accountant
Matt is a chartered accountant with over 10 years professional experience in the mid-market. Having trained at Mazars, Matt moved into their corporate finance team before furthering his career at BHP Corporate Finance & most recently at Deloitte where he worked on a number of high profile transactions. Outside of work, he enjoys playing pool in a local league, both playing and watching football and "attempting" to play golf at the weekend.

Mike Fell

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Accountant
Mike is a chartered accountant with over 25 years' experience of private equity investing, firstly with Bridgepoint and then with Baird Capital Partners. At Baird, Mike was the Regional Director responsible for the North of England before being appointed UK Managing Director, a position he held for almost 10 years. Mike has also held non-executive directorships for a number of public and private UK companies.

Monica Kalia

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager for KCP
Monica is the office manager for KCP where she ensures the daily operations run smoothly. Monica lives in Leeds with her husband and daughter. Outside of the office Monica enjoys going to the gym and spending time with the family.

Owen Trotter

Job Titles:
  • Chartered Accountant
Owen is a chartered accountant with over 16 years' experience of private equity investing in both Europe and North America. Owen spent five years with Granville Baird (now Baird Capital Partners), firstly in the UK and then in Germany. Prior to joining KCP, Owen was a partner in the Mezzanine Fund of the Royal Bank of Canada, based in Toronto. During that time, he held a number of non-executive directorships of client companies. Owen lives in York with his wife, daughter and their dog. He is a keen cricket and squash player and a long suffering supporter of Lincoln City FC.

Peter Armitage

Peter is a chartered accountant with over 30 years' experience of investing in companies and adding value as a non-executive director. Peter spent six years with Bridgepoint (formerly Natwest Ventures) and then eight years as a partner with Apax Partners. He has a full-time MBA from the Manchester Business School. Peter is married with three children and lives in Huddersfield. Outside of work, he is a keen rock-climber, mountaineer and mountain biker. He also enjoys more restful pursuits.

Philip Duquenoy

  • Finance Director of James Harvard International
Philip joined KCP after five years as Finance Director of James Harvard International, a private-equity backed international recruitment business that specialises in the pharmaceutical market. In his role at James Harvard, Philip secured private equity finance and completed two acquisitions of complementary staffing businesses before overseeing the successful sale of the business to Hays Plc. Previously, Philip was Investment Director at Granville Baird (now Baird Capital Partners) where he worked closely with Owen Trotter and Mike Fell. Philip lives in Surrey with his wife and daughter. He is a keen guitarist and most weekends he can be found tackling the Surrey Hills on his mountain bike.

Rachael Bent

Rachael joined Key Capital Partners in December 2016, following 2 years of travelling in Australia. She supports both the Leeds and London offices as Marketing & Office Manager. Rachael lives with her partner in Leeds and in her spare time enjoys baking, running, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Tom Lamb - Chairman

Tom joined KCP as Non-Executive Chairman in 2011 having retired from Barclays Private Equity where he spent 26 years, latterly as Co-Head and Chairman of the Investment Committee. He has a wide experience of all aspects of private equity having been involved in many successful transactions in a variety of sectors. Prior to Barclays he spent six years in industry as a Financial Controller/Director, gaining experience in distribution and information technology businesses after qualifying as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and gaining a degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College. Tom is married with seven children and lives in Surrey. Outside work he plays tennis and guitar, but not at the same time.
