Chantal Ferrar

Chantal has been Marketing Executive with HLM Architects since 2006 and also joined WaND as Business Manager in April 2017. Her diverse experience spans business development, quality bid and project management and client relationship management. Working across the company nationally and internationally, she has been pivotal in developing the brand and promoting a unified and corporate approach to high-end event management. Chantal has worked in a variety of sectors including defence, custodial and justice, commercial, education and healthcare at all levels within the organisation.

David Olney

Job Titles:
  • NON - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
David completed an MBA at City University Business School, following an engineering first degree at Loughborough University. He has considerable defence acquisition experience culminating in his role as Chief Operating Officer at the Defence Infrastructure Organisation where he was responsible for delivering proposals on the management of the estate as part of the Strategic Defence and Security Review in 2010. Subsequently, David had been Managing Director within the Babcock International Group responsible for 4 businesses ranging from media and education to infrastructure both in the UK and Brazil. David is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology as well as a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. David joined WaND as a NED in June 2017.

Ian Dennison

Ian has been a Director of WaND since 2012 and has 12 years' experience of working in the public sector and over 10 years' experience as a planning and development surveyor. During this time, he has developed excellent skills within infrastructure procurement and has delivered major developments. As a Director of WaND, Ian has aided numerous clients in successfully competing in a range of public sector procurement competitions involving both acquisition and disposal of property and infrastructure. He also helps guide clients through the process of making effective property asset decisions applying the WaND asset strategy most successfully when clients are transforming the way that they carry out business. Ian is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

John Sunderland

With over 35 years' experience as a Royal Navy Engineer and latterly as a consultant, John combines large-scale programme & project management expertise with systems engineering insight and an intuitive understanding of defence and the end-user. His broad defence background, much in organisational development and technology exploitation, and extensive Whitehall experience provide deep understanding of user requirements, expectations and procurement approaches. A Chartered Engineer, he is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology and the Chartered Management Institute, a professional mentor and fellowship assessor.

Sue Whitehead

Sue was a founding Director of WaND Consulting in 2012 and has a primary focus on procurement helping to bridge the gap between public and private sector drivers. She is an accomplished procurement expert with over 20 years of public and private sector experience including delivering major Government infrastructure projects and initiatives. Specialising in Defence, Sue championed key supplier management within MOD's Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and was responsible for initiating and managing the Supplier Associations to promote best practice across industry partners which saved the Department millions of pounds. Sue has an MSc in Defence Acquisition Management.
