Helen Bingley is Managing Director of Bingley Consultancy Limited; she has extensive experience of managing substantial public sector change and has been commissioned by numerous large public and private sector organisations to provide management and staff training. Prior to this she worked as Head of Teaching and Learning in the Centre for Ethnicity and Health, Faculty of Health, at the University of Central Lancashire where she designed and launched an Undergraduate Programme and a Masters Programme called ‘Managing and Promoting Equality and Diversity' which has successfully recruited from the public sector over the last 6 years. The programmes are specifically designed to achieve organisation change. She qualified as a nurse in 1979 and took up her first management post in the NHS in 1984 gaining promotion through the different management levels in the NHS to Executive Director of Human Resources and Organisation Development. She has held several voluntary positions: Non Executive Director on the Board of NHSp (National Health Service Personnel) for two years. Founder member, Trustee and Chief Executive of The Abaseen Foundation UK a UK Registered Charity, set up to support the development of Nahaqi Hospital - an Emergency Satellite Primary Care hospital in Pakistan run by a Non Governmental Organisation in Pakistan - the Abaseen Foundation Pakistan. Trustee and Treasurer of Mind in Furness, a UK Registered Charity set up to support people living in the community who experience mental health problems. She has extensive management, teaching, training, coaching, mentoring and supervision experience and models her belief that lifelong learning is a major contributor to good health and enjoys supporting other people in their learning. Bingley Consultancy Limited supports and promotes the activities of the Abaseen Foundation and Mind in Furness.
