Dr Anup Shah has trained in a wide variety of medical specialities all over the UK and in Australia. He is a Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Royal College of General Practitioners. He has a keen interest in medical education and is passionate about Primary Medical Care. Outside of medicine he is an avid cricket and tennis fan and enjoys spending his time out of work travelling, reading and going to the theatre.
Dr Jayna Gadawala graduated from UCL University (2010) and completed her GP training in West London. She enjoys all aspect of General Practice. Dr Gadawala tutors medical students and would like to develop her role with the medical education in the future.
Dr Sammy Glekin graduated from Leeds University and completed his GP training in Watford. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice but is particularly interested in paediatrics, cardiovascular health and diabetes care. Dr Glekin tutors medical students through their paediatrics attachments and is interested in training future GPs.
Dr Stephanie Hann graduated from UCL medical school in 2014 and completed her GP training in Hertfordshire. She joined Highview originally as a GP registrar before taking up a salaried and then partner position. Dr Hann enjoys the variety general practice offers and has a particular interest in medical education and women's health. Outside of medicine she enjoys travelling, baking and spending time with friends and family.
The Practice Manager, Gill Costello, manages all of the business aspects of the Practice such as making sure that the right systems and the right people are in place, at the right time, in order to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and IT (information technology).
She supports the Admin Team, GPs and other medical professionals to deliver patient services and also helps to develop extended services, enhancing patient experience and care. Julie supports the nursing team and offers appointments for new patient medicals, blood pressure monitoring, life style advices, smoking cessation. She assists the GP's with the diabetic clinic, chronic disease reviews and minor surgery.
The nurse prescriber is responsible for assessing and treating all minor ailments and chronic disease management. She works closely with the GPs in assessing and triaging patients' needs and will see patients for on-going treatment of long-term conditions. Most patients requesting emergency appointments will be dealt with by the nurse prescriber.
