MCGURK - Key Persons
Grayham began his career with Fiat UK in 1986 and moved to Rover where he worked for 11 years. He moved to Spain and spent seven years enjoying life in the sun before returning to take on a contract with Jaguar Land Rover which turned out to be a long term project for 11 years. In 2009 he opened his own business which he ran until 2015 when he was lured back to Jaguar Land Rover once again. With 38 years experience Grayham has vast experience and is a great asset to our team.
In his own time Grayham's passion for motorcycle racing and restoration is huge. His spare time was always at a racetrack. If you can run a sub 60 second lap of Mallory park then you can compare notes.
Grayham has over 38 years of expertise in the automotive industry and owned his own business until 2015. He is a passionate motorcycle enthusiast and excels in racing and restoration.
Our car mad leader, a real enthusiast. The driving force with a very sharp eye for detail and straight talking business. Buying and selling Aston Martins for 20 years.
John has been the Automotive Industry since the beginning of his career. It began selling second hand Rovers for Quicks in Coventry a job he enjoyed very much. He then progressed to understanding the Finance aspect of the business at Ford where he turned a non profit making business into a profitable one in a year. John was featured in the local press and caught the eye of TWR Jaguar where John took charge of their Finance department and won the accolade of Business Manager of the Year. The business was sold to the Sytner Group and John was offered a Sales/Business Manager role at Graypaul Ferrari in Loughborough. In the late 1990's Ferrari's were much rarer than they are now and it was here that John began to buy and sell Aston Martins to help the business.
In 2002 John made the step to start his own company. Initially buying and selling a variety of exclusive performance cars. With the introduction of the Aston Martin DB9 in 2004 and then Vantage in 2005 John began to focus on the brand. In 2007 he opened his showroom in Kineton home to over thirty used Aston Martins where the company sells in the region of 200 cars per year. Shortly after that he opened his specialist service centre which now takes care of over 700 Aston Martins per year and employs eight people.
John has an amazing depth of knowledge of cars and running a business but most importantly of people. He has an amazing team around him who have worked together for years which is something he is very proud of.
Karl started as an apprentice for Rover and stayed with them for many years until fully qualified.
Over the last 23 years, Karl has worked with various brands including Aston Martin, Vauxhall, Suzuki and Marcos where he built cars from the ground up.
He has gained multiple brand accolades and accreditations. Karl worked for us a few years ago. We are delighted he has come back to work with us once more.
In his private time, Karl enjoys Motorsports of 3 and 4-wheel varieties and caring for his family.
Karl began as a Rover apprentice, mastering his craft for over 23 years. He's worked extensively with brands like Aston Martin, Vauxhall, Suzuki, and Marcos and specialises in building cars.
Matt joined McGurk in 2006 and is a breath of fresh air. He has a relaxed approach with clients and is easy to talk to. Fantastic knowledge of Aston Martins, loves Motorbikes too!
Matts early career was the study and manufacturing of automotive components this included manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Caterham cars. Matt met John in the mid 1990's at a Martial Arts school in Coventry and they have been friends ever since. In 2007 John approached Matt and asked him to work alongside him at the new showroom in Kineton. Matt has gone on to be a wonderful asset to the McGurk team and is the driving force behind the acquisition and sales of their Aston Martin cars. Matts attention to detail is unsurpassed. His care and attention to clients needs is very well recognised and he always delivers. Matt also overseas the business in Johns absence and is a great problem solver.
Matt's love of cars and motorbikes is clear to see. He has a great depth of knowledge. He loves his Harley Davidson Motorcycle which you can hear coming from a long way away! Matt has a great hands on approach and loves to spend time with his family.
Rob worked with John Twenty years ago at TWR. He has a huge amount of experience in this business, a delight and easy to deal with.
Rob has been in the motor trade since 1984 when he worked at Audi and Volkswagen in Leamington Spa. He then moved to TWR Jaguar in 1988 where he became Sales Manager and worked alongside John in the late 1990's. In 2001 Rob moved to Sturgess Jaguar in Leicester as General Manager where he remained until 2014. Over the 25 years Rob spent with Jaguar he won many accolades and he represented the Dealer Network at the Jaguar Dealer Council.
John had approached Rob on many occasions to join the McGurk team. Finally in 2017 the timing was right and Rob became part of the McGurk family. Rob loves meeting our clients and is the most conscientious of people.
Robs love of Motorbikes is on another level. He raced in Motocross for 5 years in the AMCA 250 Expert Series on his Honda CR 250 2 Stroke and also competed in Road racing with his GSX-R 600. Robs garage is still full of Motorbikes and runs his them through the summer every year.

Steve worked with Aston Martin for several years before joining our team, his attention to detail is unsurpassed as is his knowledge. He has been with McGurk since 2012.
Steve started his career in the 80's with Rover in Birmingham where he cut his teeth until he moved to Prodrive in 2001 as Transmission Specialist building the World beating Subaru Rally cars. It was after this he began his journey with Aston Martin as a Technician and he hasn't looked back since. Steve has worked with McGurk since 2012. His knowledge of Aston Martins is incredible. His process of diagnosis is thoughtful and always very conscious of our clients, the ir cars and wallets. Your Aston could not be in better hands. His attention to detail is the best.
When Steve puts his tools down he loves watching Rugby and being with his family.
Watson is our meeter and greeter. He is here to say "Hello" with a waggy tail and will always make you feel welcome. Watson loves Aston Martins but has a very keen nose for chocolate biscuits!
