Aileen Robertson

  • Head of Lettings at the Carter Jonas
Aileen is the Head of Lettings at the Carter Jonas office in Barnes. She provides us with a wealth of experience in lettings in offices in South West and Central London.

Barbara Goodger

Job Titles:
  • Staff Member
Barbara helps with our office administration in the week and supporting the sales team on our busy Saturdays! She has been a Ham resident and also lived in Australia for over 20 years. Barbara is a fanatical Elvis fan and also enjoys spending time with family, - especially her two young granddaughters who live in Ham.

Cally Miller

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Cally Miller is the office manager. Cally has a BA degree in Accountancy from the University of Birmingham and provides great attention to detail. She handles most of the correspondence to and from the office and looks after our daily emails but like everyone else at Mervyn Smith she chips in arranging and carrying out property viewings. Away from the office a lot of her personal life is actually spent sorting out the lives of her three daughters!

Charlotte Godley

Job Titles:
  • Staff Member
Our lettings portfolio is run in conjunction with our associate company Carter Jonas at their new state of the art office in SW13. Charlotte Godley divides her time between that office and the Mervyn Smith office. She is a qualified member of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) and very knowledgeable and experienced in all the intricacies of lettings and its legal framework. Charlotte likes all types of sport and is an accomplished netball player and a season ticket holder at Queens Park Rangers.

Deborah Young

Debbie has worked in the Barnes office for 14 years and lives locally. Debbie is always on hand to assist with all lettings enquiries ensuring the office runs efficiently.

Jean Breck

Job Titles:

Jean Breck and her family have lived in Ham for over 30 years and her children have been educated at St Richards, Grey Court and Kingston Grammar. Jean is also trained in holistic massage and she enjoys cycling and walking and following the ups and downs of her native Liverpool FC. Jean is our main salesperson and regularly provides feedback on viewings to all our vendors and is often the main ongoing contact for our many registered clients looking for properties to rent or buy.

John Edwards

Job Titles:
  • Financial Adviser
Our associated financial adviser is John Edwards who has lived with his family in the area for a number of years, firstly on the Tudor estate in North Kingston and currently in Petersham. John enjoys going skiing with his family and is a regular dinghy sailor. In keeping with the philosophy of Mervyn Smith & Co, John is an independent financial advisor and is not tied to any bank, building society or insurance company.

Julie Hanna

Job Titles:
  • Assistant Manager
Assistant manager Julie Hanna has worked at Mervyn Smith since 1994 and has been a resident of Ham and Petersham over that period. Julie takes particular responsibility for our accounts and finances. She is from a military family background which shows through in her ready for anything attitude ! Away from the office, Julie likes arranging catering and flowers for functions and events, spending time with family and is a passionate season ticket holder at Harlequins.

Lucy Antonio-Jackson

Lucy works mainly on routine property inspections as part of the property management team. She joined the Barnes team in April 2022 and prior to that worked in the Mervyn Smith office in Richmond.

Manu Bedinadze

Manu has been working in property since he graduated from Kingston University in 2012 with a degree in Politics and International Relations. He has plentiful experience as a property manager, having worked in various places throughout London including Richmond, Hammersmith, and now as part of the Barnes Team.

Michelle Pardington

Michelle Pardington has been at Mervyn Smith since 2009 and has worked in property for over 20 years in offices in Richmond and Kingston. She takes particular responsibility for getting sales through from offer stage through to completion, liaising with buyers, sellers and their financial and legal advisors along the way. She and husband Steve are both serious 'petrolheads', with a detailed interest in classic cars and all forms of specialist motor sport including an annual pilgrimage to the 24 hour race at Le Mans. Michelle also has a special interest in steam locomotives and makes regular visits to working steam railways.

Stan Shaw

The well-established team at Mervyn Smith is led by Stan Shaw who can draw on (too!) many years' experience in estate agency in the local area. Stan is a longstanding Licensed Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA). He was Chair of the Association of Richmond Independent Estate Agents (ARIEA) from 2012 - 2016. He is a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Registered Valuer and an assessor and mentor to candidates trying to gain Associate membership of RICS in both the Real Estate and the Survey and valuation pathways. He is an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor... read more Stan gives of his time to local community concerns and issues where he can contribute. He was a member of the steering group of the Mayor of London's Ham and Petersham Low Carbon Zone and has been a member of the Ham and Petersham Neighbourhood Forum committee and the Ham Close Stakeholder Group. When he can tear himself away from the office, he enjoys swimming (every day!) and going sailing (unfortunately not every day) and all types of music. In his long-off misspent youth he worked professionally in music and remains a member of the Performing Rights Society (PRS) (still getting the royalties!) and the British Academy of Composers Songwriters and Authors (BASCA). Stan has a BA Hons degree from the University of Durham and a postgraduate Master of Science degree from Bedford College, University of London.
