Alastair Graham

Job Titles:
  • Co - Director and Consultant Anaesthetist
I work at the Centre one day a fortnight. My role is to help develop and run courses in the Centre. I will usually be involved in running the simulations and debriefing them afterward. I am also involved in faculty training to enable a wider range of staff to run courses within the Centre. The rest of the week, I work as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FoundationTrust. My major professional interests are training and safety in medicine.

Alice Tipton

Job Titles:
  • Associate Director MCSC and Consultant Acute and General Internal Medicine
I work at the Centre one day a week. My role includes developing and running courses in the Centre. My key areas of expertise and interest are acute and general medicine. The rest of the week, I work as a Consultant in medicine at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, caring for acutely unwell patients.

Michelle McKenzie Smith

I am a Critical Care Nurse with many years of experience caring for seriously ill patients in all areas of critical care including Paediatrics and still return to practice periodically to maintain my skills. In 2009 I completed an MSc in Healthcare Education and am a qualified ‘Nurse Teacher' on the NMC Register. Having joined the team at Montagu as a Clinical Educator in 2007, one of my roles remains to develop courses for a diverse range of Health Care Professionals and other NHS employees. As Manager of the Simulation Centre my role also includes regional and national promotion and support of the development of simulation as an educational resource and overseeing the day to day running of the facility. I work 5 days a week.

Paul Bedford

Job Titles:

I wo rk at the Centre one day a week. My role includes developing and running courses in the Centre. I have a particular responsibility for anaesthetic, intensive care and paediatric courses and supervise our simulation fellows. The rest of the week, I work as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust involving major GI surgery, emergency theatres, some intensive care and preoperative assessment.

Sharon Lukins

Job Titles:

I am a Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with many years of experience with the Theatre Department. I joined the Montagu Simulation Team in 2005. In March 2013 I completed by Postgraduate Certificate within Health Care Education - Practice Teacher. I then completed my Masters in Health and Social Care Education in October 2020. My role involves developing and delivering simulation courses for a diverse range of Health Care Professionals.
