Alison Gensheimer

Alison is Nielsen's Head of Global Marketing. She is responsible for leading Product Marketing, Go To Market, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Data, Technology and Measurement as well as Marketing Operations and Project Management across the globe. Alison joined Nielsen in April 2021 to lead the Integrated Marketing team. Prior to Nielsen, Alison oversaw Media Platforms and Innovation at Wells Fargo where she drove the development and implementation of a data powered advertising ecosystem capable of accommodating enterprise wide growth and adapting to industry disruption. With over 18 years of experience in advertising and marketing technology, Alison has also led customer success teams from demand side platforms to mobile marketing and advertising companies, delivering campaigns and solutions for top advertisers and agencies. Alison has an MBA from Boston University's Questrom School of Business. She currently resides outside of San Francisco with her husband and son.

Amilcar Perez

Amilcar Perez is the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for Nielsen Audience Measurement, where he leads a global team responsible for customer retention, customer growth, new customer acquisition, revenue operations, and marketing. He was appointed to this role in January, 2023. Amilcar has more than 25 years of global leadership experience working at Nielsen in various roles, including in Argentina and with teams across US, Latin America, China, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President of Sales and CRO for National Media Clients where he led a U.S. team responsible for customer retention, customer growth and new customer acquisition. Previously, he was Global CRO of Nielsen's Gracenote and Sports/Esports, Music and Customer Experience, where he led global commercial and revenue strategy across all business units. Amilcar has also worked in tech/telecom, mobile product leadership, sales and marketing and client and retailer relationships. Amilcar serves as executive sponsor of the Nielsen Hispanic Organization of Leaders in Action (HOLA) employee business resource group. He holds a postgraduate degree in Telecom Business from the Universidad de San Andres, an MBA from Escuela Superior de Economia y Administracion de Empresas (ESEADE) and a Bachelor degree from the University of Buenos Aires. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Carole Robinson - CCO

Carole Robinson is Chief Communications Officer for Nielsen, responsible for all of Nielsen's communications, including external media relations, internal communications, corporate philanthropy, and executive communications for Rao and the Nielsen management team. Prior to Nielsen, Carole was BuzzFeed's first communications chief, and oversaw all global communications strategy, public and media relations, and internal communications. Carole spent most of her career at MTV Networks where she was Executive Vice President of Communications and Chief of Staff for the network group that included MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. She also spent three years as Executive Vice President of Corporate & Marketing Communications for Viacom. Carole serves on Colgate University's Alumni Council and previously served on the Brand and Audience Engagement Committee for The Public Theater and the Sackler Center for Feminist Art Committee for The Brooklyn Museum.

Christine Pierce - Chief Data Officer

Christine Pierce is the Chief Data Officer at Nielsen. In this role she leads the Global Data Solutions team whose mission is to produce, procure and provide the highest quality data assets for Nielsen's Audience Measurement products. Christine has a 20+ year career in consumer and audience measurement, including roles in operations, research, and data science. She has worked extensively in the areas of data collection methods and the integration of big data and panels. Christine represents Nielsen in various committees organizations, including the Data Trust & Alliance. She has authored articles, spoken at conferences, and participated in media interviews on a variety of audience measurement and research topics. She is a graduate of Nielsen's Global Leadership Program and the Arthur C. Nielsen Award. She also has her Executive Black Belt certification. Christine earned her Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Minnesota and a graduate certificate in Applied Statistics from Pennsylvania State University. Christine and her husband, Ryan, have two children, Meredith (13) and Owen (11). Christine enjoys outdoor life, travel, and gardening.

Deirdre Thomas

Deirdre is the Chief Product Officer for Nielsen's Audience Measurement business unit. She is responsible for setting Nielsen's global audience measurement product strategy and overseeing product development, user experience design, client enablement, partnerships, and business development. Deirdre joined Nielsen in 2011 and has served in a range of cross-platform and digital roles during that time, including product sales, client solutions, product, research, and product marketing. Most recently, Deirdre led product sales for Nielsen's core U.S. audience measurement products: Nielsen ONE, National TV, Local TV, Audio, and Scarborough. Deirdre began her career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where she was a Business Analyst and later an Associate in the San Francisco Office. She has also managed online performance marketing for QuinStreet and Hotwire. Deirdre graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. She hails from New York and currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, two young children, and a growing menagerie of pets.

George D. Callard

George Callard is Nielsen's Chief Legal and Business Affairs Officer. In this role, he is responsible for leading many of Nielsen's centralized functions including government affairs, intellectual property, litigation, employment, community affairs, cybersecurity, compliance and integrity, internal audit, technical operations, corporate secretary and mergers and acquisitions. George has more than 30 years of extensive experience covering a broad range of operational and legal responsibilities. He joined Nielsen in 2019 from Weather Group, where he was the president, responsible for the overall operation and management of the company. He also served as Weather Group's chief administrative officer and general counsel, where he was responsible for legal, regulatory and compliance matters and all central functions such as human resources and finance. Earlier in his career, George served as vice president of business and legal affairs at NBCU, responsible for all legal matters affecting delivery and distribution of NBCU content. This included serving as lead counsel for the Olympics, Bravo, Oxygen and NBC Network retransmission consent. Previously, he had two tenures with AT&T (Ameritech & SBC) as lead video lawyer for Ameritech's Americast and AT&T's U-verse services. Before that, he served as senior counsel at the law firm Cinnamon Mueller and as associate counsel for Multimedia Cablevision and Multimedia Broadcasting. George received his JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He has a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor's degree from Union College.

Karthik Rao - CEO

A 23-year veteran of nearly every aspect of Nielsen's business, Karthik Rao has been named CEO and will take the global… Karthik Rao was named Chief Executive Officer of Nielsen, the global leader in audience measurement, data and analytics, in September, 2023. Prior to being named CEO, Rao, a 23-year veteran of Nielsen, held a variety of leadership roles across the company and around the world. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Nielsen Audience Measurement, responsible for driving and evolving Nielsen's core business in the midst of unprecedented disruption and transition. His primary focus was on enabling a currency across all media distribution and consumption models globally. Rao was named Nielsen's Chief Operating Officer in 2020, where he oversaw a global product-driven technology transformation. Prior to that, he served as Chief Product & Technology Officer for Nielsen Global Media, where he led the International Media product and technology teams. He also served as CEO of Nielsen Portfolio, leading the fully independent division, comprising Nielsen Entertainment, Nielsen Gracenote, Nielsen Brandbank and the Nielsen Telecom businesses across all global markets. He led Gracenote during its acquisition and integration by Nielsen, which included building Gracenote's management team, aligning its strategy, and driving growth across key markets and segments. In his earliest days at Nielsen, Rao held roles in a variety of divisions, including Expanded Verticals, Digital Enablement, and Nielsen's Media Analytics business. As head of Nielsen China, he led one of the company's fastest growing global markets. Rao began his career as an account executive at Ogilvy & Mather in India. He serves on the Board of Directors of Avantax, a comprehensive financial services company. Rao holds a degree in Economics from Loyola University in Chennai and an MBA from Illinois State University.

Nicolina Marzicola - CHRO

Pete Doe

Pete Doe is Chief Research Officer at Nielsen. He has decades of experience in market research, audience measurement, big data and statistical modeling techniques. In his current role he leads Nielsen's Data Science Organization, overseeing the development of audience measurement methodologies across video, digital and audio globally. This is his second stint at Nielsen: between 2004-2015 he was a primary architect of Nielsen's data integration products and contributed to patented innovations in Set Top Box measurement, Digital and Outdoor Advertising Research. Between 2015-2022, Pete was Chief Research Officer at clypd, an advanced TV platform start-up acquired by Xandr in 2019, which in turn was acquired by Microsoft in 2022. Before moving to the United States, Pete was a board director at RSMB TV Research in the UK, where he worked primarily on the BARB TV audience measurement currency as well as data fusion projects. He started his career at NOP Market Research in London. Pete is a graduate of King's College, London University.

She previously held the position of Chief Customer Officer at Amobee and Smartly.io, after starting her career by leading customers through digital media transformation in Search and Social advertising at Doubleclick and Google. Ryanne is dedicated to building community and making a broad global impact using technology and advertising. In 2020, Ryanne founded AdTechCares, a non profit organization with the mission to Combat Misinformation and Keep Humanity Well - reaching over 3 billion humans globally with PSAs supporting organizations such as the World Health Organization, Team Rubicon and Project Drawdown. Sandra Sims-Williams

Srini Varadarajan - CTO

Srini is the Chief Technology Officer for Nielsen Technology and also plays the role of Chief Architect for Nielsen. Originally from India, Srini has a Computer Science degree from Madras University and a Master's degree in Management and System specializing in Strategy and Leadership from New York University. He was the valedictorian of his class and received a special award for his applied project that brought about the transformation to the product development process at Thomson Reuters. Prior to joining Nielsen in 2016, Srini led major Big Data and Platform efforts at Thomson Reuters (as Head of Content Technology) and Goldman Sachs (as Head of Data Architecture). He has deep knowledge of big data and cloud computing technologies. Apart from architecture and software development, Srini has extensive experience in transforming technology organizations. A big proponent of agile and lean, Srini espouses the principles of a startup mentality in a large organization. His thesis at NYU, as part of the Master's program, was focused on implementing agile development at large organizations. He is a passionate cook and takes over the kitchen on weekends. He is also passionate about the Earth and its flora and fauna. An outdoorsman, he hikes in summer and skis in winter. He was a track athlete at his university and holds the record for the 800 meters.
