Cairo completed her degree in English and Linguistics in Bristol before moving to Cheltenham to complete her PGCE at the University of Gloucestershire. From here Cairo taught English and Drama in two mainstream secondary schools before moving to a Special School for boys with Autism; Cairo was the Senior Teacher in the school and had overall responsibility for support staff, Literacy across the curriculum and KS3 nurture groups. She gained an extensive knowledge of Autism and Special Educational Needs and saw an opportunity at OHS as a chance to broaden her knowledge of pupils with medical needs. Cairo started at OHS in January 2014, teaching in OTS and the following year was promoted to Senior Teacher. In 2016, she was appointed as Leader of Learning for the Outreach Teaching Service. Cairo feels passionately about supporting vulnerable learners and in her role has been able to support families as well as local schools to improve outcomes. In her spare time Cairo likes spending time with her young family and finding opportunities to have tea and cake.

Catherine completed both her BA Hons degree (in Pure Mathematics with English Literature) and PGCE at Birmingham University, before taking up a post with Voluntary Services Overseas as a teacher in a rural Kenyan school. On her return to the UK, she taught English in London schools and later moved to Oxfordshire to work with the County's ‘Language and Curriculum Project', advising schools on in-house provision for the teaching and integration of EAL pupils. Following a move with her family to Kuala Lumpur, where she taught in an International School, she returned to Oxfordshire to work as an English teacher and EAL Coordinator at the Henry Box School in Witney. Since joining the Oxfordshire Hospital School in 2014, she embraced the role as the ‘English and Arts Lead' being a passionate believer in the transformative power of the arts. In 2019 Catherine took on the role of the Leader of Learning at CHTS. Having grown up with two siblings coping with chronic health conditions, Catherine has always been a keen advocate for pupils with medical needs. Along with a wealth of specialist training in this area, she has gained a ‘Certificate in Counselling Skills' and recently passed a postgraduate course in Education at Brookes University, focusing on literacy issues. She has a particular interest in exploring the effects of literacy difficulties on the mental health of adolescents. In her spare time, Catherine keeps tabs on her three sons and loves reading, yoga and travel.

Daniel studied Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge and then went on to complete his PGCE at Goldsmiths, University of London. Following this he worked for eight years in a mainstream secondary school in Buckinghamshire, in a number of roles including Head of Department and Pupil Premium Co-ordinator. Daniel joined the OHS as Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator in 2019, completing the National Award for SEN Co-ordination at Oxford Brookes University, and also took on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead in 2021. In these roles he supports staff across the school to provide high quality provision for pupils with SEND and is the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns. Daniel also works closely with enrolled schools to help them to provide education for pupils with medical needs. Outside of school Daniel is a parish councillor in his village and supports the local children's centre; he enjoys cooking, reading and exploring with his young son.

Helen taught in mainstream primary settings for 13 years before joining the OHS in 2004 as a teacher at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. Helen was appointed as Head of Sector at the Children's Hospital, Helen House Hospice and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in 2012 and later became an Assistant Head Teacher and, most recently, Deputy Head Teacher. Helen is the strategic lead for the Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Assessment and is also the Devolved Head of Centre for Exams and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Helen has a Master's Level qualification in Special Education Needs and Inclusion and most recently achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship. Helen is a member of the Oxfordshire Special Schools Deputies and the Oxfordshire Special Schools Assessment and Moderation Group. Helen led on the successful validation of Artsmark Gold, Investors in Pupils and the Enhanced Values based Education Quality Marks and has a particular interest in forging creative partnerships to enhance teaching and learning opportunities for pupils at OHS.

Laura moved to Oxford after completing a science degree at the University of Southampton. She has worked in Oxfordshire schools since 2004, first in a children's centre then a primary school before joining OHS in 2014. She has also been a governor at her local primary school. Laura has a Certificate in School Business Management (CSMB), is Level 4 AAT (accounts technician) qualified and is a Prince2 Practitioner (Project Management). She is one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads at OHS and is the school's Data Protection Officer. Laura meets regularly with School Business Managers from Hospital Schools around the country. When not at work Laura likes to read books, play outdoors and avoid doing housework.

Mollie Graduated with BSc (Hons) in Equine Science from the the University of Bristol then went on to complete her PGCE at Oxford Brookes University. She has worked in three schools in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Prior to starting at the OHS she was Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion in a mainstream secondary school.

After graduating from the University of Greenwich, London in 1990, Steve worked as a teacher of PE and Maths, lead for PSHE and Deputy Head of House before moving on to a curriculum leadership role at a large secondary school in Reading in 1993. Steve took on a pastoral role as Head of Year and served as a staff governor in addition to his post as Head of Department in his final 2 years in Reading before moving to a senior leadership role in Swindon in 1997 where he took up the post of Senior Teacher. During his time at Kingsdown Steve was internally appointed to the post of Assistant Headteacher and then Deputy Headteacher in 2006.
