REEDS PHARMACY - Key Persons
Angela divides her time between the counter and the dispensary, having completed the Dispensing Assistant Course. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her ever growing number of grandchildren, many of whom are named after Arsenal footballers. She has two sons.
Bryony initially joined as a Saturday assistant in May 2010 and is now a full time counter assistant having undertaken a retail apprenticeship. She is also a qualified first aider.
Debbie originally trained as hairdresser but joined us in 1991 and is now a Registered Pharmacy Technician. For a while her daughters Michelle and Sharon worked for us as Saturday assistants.
As the least squeamish member of staff, Debbie looks after our first aid and is trained to conduct cholesterol and pregnancy testing. She is also a fanatical cleaner with a great belief in the power of bleach.
Gillian graduated from the School of Pharmacy in Aberdeen in 1978. Gillian is a local girl who attended Truro High School. She completed her training at Boots, subsequently becoming a branch manager. She took a career break to have Andrew and Hannah, but has worked full-time since they left school. Gillian has undertaken extra training in the management of Parkinson's disease.
Graham is a qualified Pharmacist Independent Prescriber and is a member of the editorial board for the journal 'Pharmacy Management'. He has also served on committees for NICE and was an adviser to the Department of Health on the management of controlled drugs.
Rachel was our first apprentice and is now a Registered Pharmacy Technician. She joined us in February 2011.
She is also our Young People's Champion, in which role she suggests changes we can introduce to make our pharmacy more welcoming to young people. This pharmacy is Savvy accredited and Rachel will help us improve our services to people of her own age.
Rosemary came to Reeds straight from school in 1979 and has been with us ever since, apart from a break to have her children, Paul and Claire. She is also a Registered Pharmacy Technician. Rosemary enjoys crafts and is often to be found covered in sparkles from her cardmaking. She is also a keen cook with a special liking for making celebration cakes.
