Angela Taylor

  • PRACTICE MANAGER
Angela is highly experienced in accountancy and prior to working at RobinsonMurphy worked at a Chartered Accountancy Practice preparing accounts and audits for a diverse range of clients, managing a department in a top 30 accountancy firm. Angela is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a Fellow of Institute of Legal Finance and Management. Angela made the move to RobinsonMurphy in 1995 and has since become a loyal and conscientious member of the Practice. As well as being the Practice Manager Angela continues to specialise in Accountancy.

John Probert

Job Titles:
  • PARTNER
John studied Policy Making Administration at the University of Exeter before completing his professional exam of law at Northumbria University in 1986. John qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and firstly concentrated in general practice, working on a diverse number of projects in County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. John has experience in a high volume of activities including Family Work, Crime, Conveyancing, Wills and Probate and Mental Health Work, however currently RobinsonMurphy does not deal with Legal Aid. John started work in both articles and after qualifying in the North East of England covering Court Tribunals from Berwick to Durham. In 2000 John joined RobinsonMurphy to specialise in litigation work, including civil family work. Due to his enthusiastic, caring and reliable nature John made partner in 2008. John is currently enjoying working on the development of the private client department, to include Conveyancing, Wills and Probate and Power of Attorney. John has an excellent sense of humour which bodes well with his clients, ensuring he is transparent and approachable in all matters.

Karen Hunter

Karen is very experienced in office law. Prior to moving to RobinsonMurphy in 1999, Karen worked for another large law firm (Ward Hadaway) in Newcastle for 7 years. Karen started as an Office Junior and worked her way up to become Secretary. Karen then moved to RobinsonMurphy, starting as a Secretary within the Personal Injury department and Recovery of Uninsured Loss before transferring to the Industrial Disease Department as a Paralegal 10 years ago. Karen enjoys socialising with her friend and family and looking after her children.

Karen Watts

Karen has focused her working life on secretarial work. Prior to working for RobinsonMurphy Karen worked as a secretary to the tax partner of an accountancy firm for 15 years. Karen moved to RobinsonMurphy to become secretary to all partners in 2002 and has now been a reliable and loyal member of the team for 16 years.
