Chris Smith

Job Titles:
  • PCQI - Quality Management Programme Lead
Chris developed his skills and knowledge of Business and Management theories at Sheffield Hallam University obtaining the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Chris holds a PGCE in Post 16 Education and has over 20 years' experience within the education and training sector working within higher and further education institutions.

Jacky Wilson

Job Titles:
  • Director
Jacky has worked within education and training for almost 20 years. Following a Psychology Degree, she started her career in a Vocational Training department in the NHS (continuing her studies with a post-grad diploma in IT). Following, she spent several years working with a private training organisation, before joining rove. For 10 years now, she's been supporting learners to reach their potential and heading up the rove team.

Julie Dixon

Job Titles:
  • Internal Quality Assurer
Julie started her career in health care and qualified as a psychiatric nurse, general nurse and midwife before moving into the private health care sector where she managed care homes and progressed to area manager. Within these roles she always had a focus firmly on staff development - from managers to every grade of staff she was responsible for. Julie's other passion and experience is business. As a business owner for many years her business acumen has grown but she believes learning and developing should never end! You might not know…. Julie's fav place is Cornwall - watching the surfers She owned her first business aged just 20 year's old With over 25 years' experience in healthcare in both secondary care and the private sector, Julie moved into GP Management in Primary Care. Whether it's patient safety, healthcare inequalities or team performance - quality improvement and undertaking clinical audit activities is a core aspect of her work. Julie's other passion and experience is business. As a business owner for many years her business acumen has grown but she believes learning and developing should never end!

Leigh Smyth

Job Titles:

Leigh has been involved in quality management for many years, having worked as an Internal and External Quality Assurer for a wide range of qualifications, and she is very keen to support others to develop their knowledge and skills. She recognises how the application of relevant theories and approaches can significantly impact on the creation and provision of services and products for all business and organisations. Leigh has a particular interest in the customer service aspects of quality management and is keen to see how others are able to apply the knowledge developed through our courses into their own work areas, to ultimately support and promote customer satisfaction.

Neil Harrison

Neil's career began as a semi-pro rugby player playing for various teams in the UK (including his beloved Castleford Tigers) as well as Europe.

Pat Blyth

Job Titles:
  • Quality Assurer
Pat began her career as a developer and then progressed into education. She worked with Microsoft for several years, speaking at conferences in Europe and United States and was also part of its Europe Middle East and Africa Training Advisory Council. Pat has worked within the public and private education sector for over 30 years. Until June 2018 she was Head of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement at Tyne Metropolitan College. Following this, she spent two years working at Sage Gateshead where she was responsible for Creative Apprentices at Cultural venues from Berwick to Teesside. For the last four years, Pat has been a governor at a high school in North Tyneside, where she focuses on Employer Engagement and progress into sustainable employment for pupils. She is a member of the North East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and an Enterprise Advisor - working alongside the Career Advisor at a Middle School in North Tyneside. Pat began her career as a developer and then progressed into education. She worked with Microsoft for several years, speaking at conferences in Europe and United States and was also part of its Europe Middle East and Africa Training Advisory Council. Pat has worked within the public and private education sector for over 30 years. Pat's role involves assessing the quality of rove's training services.

Wendy Wilson

Job Titles:
  • Marketing & Communications Manager
Wendy is an experienced marketing professional, who qualified from Northumbria University with a PG DIP in Marketing over 20 years ago. Since then, Wendy has developed and delivered successful marketing and communications strategies for a range of projects and organisations, including; Public Sector and Business Support Organisations to; Shopping Centres, Universities and Museums. Wendy oversees all brand and marketing activities, as well as heading up new business development.
