Arthur Millman

Job Titles:

Arthur retired as a full-time partner in 2020 having spent over 45 years at the firm. With his wealth of knowledge and experience Arthur remains employed as a consultant, continuing to provide advice particularly for those clients he has acted for over the years. Many of the clients in his portfolio were handled by him for a very long time, and he has seen many clients through various changes such as the transfer of the business to the next generation, or a successful sale to new owners.

Bhooshan Maini

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
Bhooshan retired as a full time partner in September 2015 after over 30 years in the profession. He is now a Consultant with Goldwyns where he continues to provide support to a wide range of business sectors.

David Reynolds

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
David retired as a full time partner in June 2012 but his enthusiasm for successful accounting, taxation and business development services for the benefit of clients remains undiminished, and he continues as a Consultant with Goldwyns. The experience of almost 40 years since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant enables clients to utilise his knowledge of business and enterprise to positive effect and avoid costly mistakes. David's passion for personal client attention is further extended to his charitable and community activities. He has been Chairman of Rochford & Rayleigh Citizens Advice Bureau for over 10 years, a keen Rotarian for a quarter of a century and a member of a number of other local community bodies. However his prowess in golf is as lamentable as ever.

Ian Pessell

Ian retired as a full-time partner in 2020 having spent over 42 years in the profession. The firm continues to employ Ian as a consultant, who still applies his considerable accounting, taxation and audit experience to his previous owner-managed business clients where needed.

Mark Rookes

Job Titles:
  • Manager
Mark joined Goldwyns as a manager in November 2019, Mark started his accountancy career in 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2010 and also gained his ICAEW membership in 2017. Over the course of his career Mark has obtained a large amount of knowledge dealing with various clients in different industries, assisting with their accounts, tax and auditing affairs. Mark works closely with Sam and Rob assisting in managing their respective portfolios. Outside of work, Mark is a keen sports fan, he is season ticket holder at Arsenal, but also attends rugby matches at Twickenham and cricket games at Lords. Mark is also involved in film making and is a trustee of a registered charity, which raises money for young people with cancer.

Robert Howe

  • Vice - Chairman of SOSCAG
Robert graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1996 and joined Goldwyns in 1997. Shortly after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Robert was promoted through the firm, becoming a director in 2014 and a full partner in 2015. Robert manages a diverse portfolio of assignments that includes clients in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. Robert is also vice-chairman of SOSCAG, the Southend-on-Sea Chartered Accountants Group. Outside of work, Robert is kept busy with his young family but enjoys the occasional round of golf and watching Formula One.

Sam Blundell

Job Titles:

Sam joined Goldwyns in 2006 (straight from Westcliff High School for Boys) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 under its stewardship. From here he continued to progress through the firm, was appointed as a director in 2018 and became a full-time partner in 2020. Having worked at every level (and still regularly dealing with some clients he first trained on in 2006), Sam's experience in the firm encompasses: leading a number of the firm's larger clients (particularly various groups, audits, PLCs, doctors and charities); providing the more personal, day-to-day service required for some of the firm's much smaller businesses or personal tax clients; a number of more specialist assignments such as due diligence activities on potential acquisitions and bespoke assurance reports for specific regulatory matters; financial and tax planning strategies of varying levels of complexity; dealing with a variety of HMRC enquiries across different taxes; and assisting various clients with their record keeping and systems needs as necessary (being particularly keen on both Sage and Xero).
