The Real People Theatre is a women's theatre company, founded in 1999 by Sue Lister & Ann Murray. Our casts alter year by year... Over the years the Real People Theatre has worked with a play off the shelf, 12 cast collaborations, 2 forum theatre productions, life stories, readers' theatre, image theatre, a poetry workshop, and a playwright who devised a script with the company - an exciting diversity!... Since 2000 we have created and presented shows for York International Women's Week each year, many kindly hosted by York St John University.
