Welcome to the home of Locomotive 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society. We are the proud custodians of the only surviving prototype Stanier 4-6-2 - LMS Princess Royal Class No. 6201 "Princess Elizabeth", affectionately known as "Lizzie". 6201 Princess Elizabeth was saved from being scrapped by British Rail by the society who formed specially to buy the locomotive and preserve it for future generations. After restoration and the lifting of the steam ban in the 1970s, 6201 Princess Elizabeth returned to the mainline again hauling specially organised charter tours all over the country...
