NORMA WALTON BA

I am an artist and photographer from Essex, now based in Honiton in Devon. Having had a very varied career and spent much of my life as a photographer I eventually undertook a degree in fine art in my 60s. My passion is for nature, especially the changing colours of the Devon countryside and coast. I am so lucky to be near the Jurassic Coast with its wonderful scenery. The woodlands here are particularly lovely in spring when the bluebells bloom and the colours of the sea around Sidmouth are perpetually changing. My paintings inspired by the Devon countryside are often mixed media using acrylics, inks collage and watercolours, occasionally oil paint. During the Covid lockdown I took the opportunity to learn to paint in watercolour, this has been an obsession for the last couple of years. Currently I have found a new obsession in a return to mono printing... I am planning a series of Gelli Printing workshops next year in Honiton. Please contact me if you would be interested.....
