I studied a B.A. Hons in Graphic Design at Middlesex before transferring to Newcastle Poly in 1991 to finish my degree. On graduating I went straight into the industry and worked my way up at various advertising and marketing agencies in the North East from old school Artworker (the great days of cow gum, scalpels & drawing boards) to Senior Designer. I've been self employed (trading as Squid Design) for most of the past fourteen years... Initially trained to do everything in Quark, Freehand and Photoshop….and saving everything onto floppy disc (that's how long I've been around the industry), like everybody else now I use Adobe Creative Suite…..so yes, I'm yet another InDesign convert. Still holding out on Illustrator though!
