Following three years at Blackpool College of Photography, Adrian began his career by photographing furniture for Littlewoods and Grattan catalogues. In 1988 the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) hired him as staff photographer and he took up residence in Dhahran. Very soon he became accustomed to working in very hot and very hostile environmental conditions, including some of the biggest oil processing facilities in the world. Travelling the Kingdom on assignments ranging from refineries to shipping, major construction, power lines and pipelines. In 1995 he returned to the UK. His area of speciality is industry which includes manufacturing, process plants, fabrication, machinery and automation. The aim is to create striking images from everyday working situations, many of which feature people at work. There is no doubt that arresting images carry influence and can be very persuasive. Adrian is time served in his photography career and travels everywhere with a car laden with lighting kit!
