Jamie L. Walker

Jamie joined the firm in 2014 and became an equity member in 2021. She is a native of South Lake Tahoe. Jamie graduated from the University of Nevada Reno and then received her J.D. with distinction from the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law. During law school, Jamie was inducted into the Traynor Honor Society, worked at a certified student-attorney at the Federal Defender's Office for the Eastern District of California and was team leader at Victims of Crime Legal Clinic. Justin J. Sinner

Justin joined the firm as an associate in 2022 after working with an estate planning firm in Jackson, California. Justin graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay, and then received his Juris Doctor, with Distinction, from the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law. At McGeorge, Justin served as a judicial extern for the Nevada Court of Appeals under Chief Judge Michael Gibbons. Justin is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California. Justin focuses his practice in estate planning and administration.

Kara M. Hayes

Kara is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada. She graduated from the University of California, Davis, Magna Cum Laude. She received her J.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, Hastings College of the Law, Magna Cum Laude. Kara practices primarily in the areas of real estate and civil and commercial litigation. Additionally, Kara has extensive experience in family law matters. Kara externed for the Honorable Allen E. Broussard, former Justice of the California Supreme Court, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles E. Springer, former Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court. Kara is a long-time board member of Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevada.

Ken is a founding and managing member of the Firm and is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and then received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. Ken practices primarily in the areas of corporate and limited liability company formation, planning and initial funding, business and real estate transactions and also counsels clients on a variety of employment, gaming, development and contract matters. Ken is involved in many community activities, including serving as a Board member and officer of the Tahoe Chamber of Commerce and as a Trustee of the Board of Trustees for the Barton Hospital Foundation. Richard J. Mcguffin

Rich has been with the Firm since 2013 and became an equity member of the Firm in 2018. He is a native of South Lake Tahoe. Rich graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho and then received his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law. Rich is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and California and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. During law school, Rich was a member of the Creighton National Trial Team, which led to him being selected to the Order of the Barristers, a top scholastic distinction for those who demonstrate outstanding oral advocacy and brief writing skills. Additionally, Rich acted as Judicial Extern for the Honorable Laurie Smith Camp, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. Prior to joining the Firm, Rich served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable James E. Wilson, Jr., First Judicial District Court of Nevada in Carson City. Ronald D. Alling

Ron graduated from St. Mary's College of California and then received his J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California. Ron joined the firm of Manoukian & Manoukian, later becoming a partner in Manoukian, Scarpello & Alling and its successor Scarpello & Alling and is a founding and managing member of the Firm. He also held the position of general counsel for Harveys Casino Resorts (formerly NYSE-HVY) from 1987 to 2001, was a member of the Nevada Board of Bar Examiners from 1985 to 1997 (Chairman, 1994 to 1997) and also was a member of the Nevada Judicial Selection Commission. Ron primarily practices in the areas of estate, business succession and charitable planning; probate and trust administration along with real estate transactions and also counsels clients in gaming and corporate matters. As a very active member of the community, Ron serves on numerous boards, including Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, Douglas County Sheriff's Advisory Council and Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation and is a past President of the Tahoe-Douglas Chamber of Commerce.
