In 1965. William and Bernice Cook opened Cook's Construction of Brownsville as a concrete, masonry, and agricultural construction contractor serving rural Wisconsin in and around the Brownsville area. In 1987, their sons Charles and David, and daughter-in-law, Kathy purchased the business. In 2008, Kathy Cook became the primary shareholder of Cook's Construction, certifying Cook's Construction of Brownsville as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce. David & Kathy spent many years operating Cook's Construction until David's passing in 2020.
