GAP Specialities was founded in Singapore in 2002 to service the growing demand of fine and speciality chemicals in the South East Asian region. Initially GAP worked primarily with European supply chain partners. This soon changed as the Asian Chemical industry expanded rapidly and quality suppliers emerged from China, Korea and India. GAP took the opportunity to enhance its product range by working with these new suppliers and also at the same time to extend its market coverage on a global basis... For the paper industry we specialise in the supply of REAGENS-S-CFZ which is a quaternary compound used to manufacture cationic starch. Other chemicals include polyalkylene glycols (PAG's) for antifoam applications and fumaric acid which is used as a pH buffer in starch manufacture.
