Bill Day - Chairman

Chair Bill Day (MNZM, JP) founded Wellington Hospitals Foundation in 2005 at the request of the then CCDHB board. He is very active in the community and is a Justice of the Peace. In 2015 Bill received a Queens Honour as Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for his services to the Community and Health. He has been associated with the Life Flight Trust (Westpac Rescue Helicopter) since 1981 and is a former Chair of Life Flight Trust (15 years) and Director of Wellington Free Ambulance (15 years). In 1999 Bill retired from a senior position with Westpac after 33 years service, and was the CEO of New Zealand Community Trust for seven years. In 2023 he was awarded Wellingtonian of the Year in the Community Service category.

Brian Bray

Brian Bray (LLB Hons) is a former solicitor and consultant at the law firm DLA Piper New Zealand. Brian supported the Foundation for several years before becoming a Trustee in 2011. DLA Piper is a Foundation charity partner and provides pro-bono legal advice for the Foundation.

Corinne Cole

Corinne Cole (LLB, PGDipBusAdmin (Mktg), Trans-Tasman Patent and Trademark attorney), is a Director of property management and development specialist Colee & Co Ltd, and former Partner at AJ Park, New Zealand's largest Intellectual Property Law firm. She has held Trustee and Directorship roles in a number of other organisations, including Life Flight Trust and Daffodil Enterprises Limited, and was President of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys Inc.

Mr John Tait

Mr John Tait (MBBS, MRCOG, FRNZOG, FRCOG) previously held the position of the Executive Director Clinical, Surgery, Women's and Children's. He has been a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist since 1986. He is also the former Chief Medical Officer and Interim Director Te Whatu Ora, Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District. John is currently Chair of the National Maternity Monitoring Group, and Chair of the Maternal Morbidity Working Group. He is a member of the Endometriosis Task Force, Neonatal Encephalopathy Taskforce and the Waikato Maternity Taskforce; Director of ISTAR, and Vice President of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
