Dr. Elizabeth Oteiza

Elizabeth Oteiza, M.D., has served thousands of patients in Palm Beach County. During the last decade, she has provided excellent eye care as a staff ophthalmologist at the Katzen Eye Care & Laser Center. Dr. Elizabeth Oteiza attended the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating with high honors at the top of her class. She completed a post-graduate fellowship in diseases of the vitreous and retina at the University of South Florida and was involved in research studies to determine the optimal treatment for serious intraocular infections. Elizabeth Oteiza, MD, is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Elizabeth Oteiza is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. She resides in Wellington with her husband, Seth, and their three children. She enjoys travel, tennis, exercise, and volunteer activities within local schools.

Dr. Jodi Luchs

Dr. Jodi Luchs is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with a sub-specialty in Cornea & External Disease. He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and an internship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Luchs was distinguished as a Chief Resident during his Ophthalmology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He was a fellow in Cornea/External Disease at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Luchs is a founding member of the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery (AECOS) and the Society of Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgeons (CEDARS). He is also a member of the Castroviejo Corneal Society. Dr. Luchs has been the principal investigator in numerous clinical trials and academic appointments. He has authored publications on the cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery to his credit, including two books. He is recognized both nationally and internationally as a trusted leader and educator. In 2015, he received the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Achievement Award.

Dr. Lawrence Katzen

Dr. Katzen has been a valued member of the ophthalmic community for the past four decades and had a worldwide influence on ophthalmic missions. He was a renowned eye surgeon helping thousands enjoy improved vision through advanced surgical procedures. Dr. Katzen also enjoyed photography, golfing, and spending time with his family. Dr. Lawrence Katzen was the founder of Katzen Eye Care & Laser Center. Dr. Katzen retired from practicing ophthalmology at KEC in the summer of 2020. As Founder, Medical Director, and Chief Surgeon, Dr. Katzen was instrumental in creating and developing Katzen Eye Care into what it is now; a center of excellence in the field of ophthalmology. The doctors and staff at KEC are devoted to maintaining and expanding Dr. Katzen's legacy of superb patient experience and care with state-of-the-art technology.

Dr. Ryan Hargreaves

Dr. Ryan Hargreaves received his Doctor of Optometry summa cum laude from the New England College of Optometry, where he earned numerous awards for clinical excellence, scholarship, and literature research. He completed internships at the New England Eye Institute, Brighton Marine Health Center, the Veteran's Administration Medical Centers of Manchester, NH, and Brocton, MA. He then completed an optometric residency in ocular disease. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Hargreaves worked in an ophthalmology clinic where he served for over two decades as a clinical director. Through his time spent working alongside multiple ophthalmology subspecialists, Dr. Hargreaves was able to treat and manage ocular disease patients. In addition to providing direct patient care, Dr. Hargreaves has also served as an adjunct clinical instructor for seven different colleges of optometry, through which he was responsible for the clinical training of optometric interns and residents. He also served as a program coordinator for an ocular disease residency program affiliated with Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Dr. Hargreaves has lectured at local optometric association meetings and has been a guest lecturer at the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. As a Board Certified Optometrist, Dr. Hargreaves provides full-scope optometric services for all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric specializing in the medical management of ocular disease. Dr. Hargreaves is actively involved in the Broward County Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Hargreaves enjoys traveling and spending time with his kids.
