Gina Jacobs is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. She focuses on business planning and commercial transactions, commercial finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Over the course of a law career that spans more than 30 years, Gina has advised privately held businesses with their business planning, contracting, finance and acquisition and divestiture needs. Her knowledge of contract and commercial law and finance makes her an asset to her clients as they grow and expand their businesses. She has provided counsel to companies in a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, gaming, telecommunications, construction, and Native American tribes and enterprises.
Gina also represents borrowers and lenders in structuring and documenting credit facilities of all types. These include secured and unsecured term and revolving credit facilities for working capital, property and facility acquisition and development, construction, and equipment financing. She has dealt with all types of collateral from machinery and equipment, farm products, stock and LLC interest, deposit and securities accounts to legal fees and intellectual property rights. Gina also draws on her background in commercial and lending transactions to assist clients with strategies for collecting and maximizing recovery for troubled loans.

Jimmy Ardoin is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. He focuses on white collar criminal and civil litigation.
Jimmy has a national practice representing clients in white collar criminal and civil litigation in federal and state courts across the country. He represents individuals and companies in high-stakes cases, including everything from healthcare fraud, securities fraud, bank fraud, and violations of federal foreign sanctions laws on the criminal side, to breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraudulent transfer of assets on the civil side. In addition to his litigation practice, he also helps companies with their internal investigations as well as responding to governmental investigations that the company might receive.
Jimmy is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation. He is a frequent contributor to news outlets across the country on complex, white collar defense legal issues and has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, the Houston Chronicle, the Dallas Morning News, Yahoo News, the Houston Business Journal, KPRC, and KHOU, among others. Jimmy is also the host of Reasonable Doubt, a legal talk show on Houston Media Source and sponsored by the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association.

Marc T. Amy is special counsel in the Litigation Practice Group and a member of the property and personal injury team.
Marc recently concluded 24 years of service as an appellate judge on the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Third Circuit, when he retired from the court in December 2018. He was first elected to the Third Circuit in 1994 and was twice reelected. He draws on extensive experience across a broad array of substantive areas to consult on issues in appellate litigation and aspects of judicial process at all stages of litigation. During his tenure as a judge on the court of appeal, he sat on more than three thousand appeals and delivered the majority or lead opinion in more than a thousand cases. He additionally issued hundreds of concurring and dissenting opinions and participated in uncounted writ decisions. Marc's wide range of experience informs his appellate practice for the firm.
Marc has a strong record of service, leadership, and is an elected member of the American Law Institute, a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a past president of both Louisiana Appleseed and the Louisiana Bar Foundation. He was appointed by the Louisiana Supreme Court to the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana and the Louisiana Appellate Court Performance Standards Commission. Marc served on committees of the Louisiana State Law Institute for projects on the laws of mandate, domicile, deposits and definitions, loan, rents and annuities, respite, aleatory contracts, signification of terms, and water law.
Prior to his service on the Third Circuit, Marc was an assistant district attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial District of Louisiana and was engaged in the general practice of law in Abbeville, his hometown.

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Nnaemeka served as a regulatory law clerk for the Financial Services Roundtable, an advocacy organization for the US financial services industry, and was an honors intern in the US Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Investment Management. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robert R. Rigsby for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
