Lohardaga Gram Swarajya Sansthan is a non-profit development based organization working in Jharkhand region for the past thirty-five years. Started by a group of social workers who believed in Gandhian philosophy and the noble idea of decentralized governance, the organization seeks to strengthen local institutions and promote community based approaches in addressing pressing community development and environmental issues of our region. Tribal areas in Jharkhand continue to suffer from poor access to health services, information and infrastructures and medical facilities. Mother and child mortality, malnutrition and diseases are disproportionately high among population living in these areas.
