Alexander P. Iezza

Alexander P. Iezza is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and the most recent addition to the staff at Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates. He completed his spine fellowship at Stanford University and during that time was a clinical instructor in the department of orthopaedic spine surgery. Dr. Iezza provides comprehensive care of spine problems to ROSA patients.

Dr. Daniel Gonzalez

Dr. Daniel Gonzalez is board certified in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.Dr. Gonzalez graduated from The Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of the Crew Team and played Ice Hockey while leading international medical missions. He then went on to complete a dual-degree, MD/MPH, at St. George's University where he was a member of the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program which allowed him to spend a year training in Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Dr. Gonzalez completed his Family Medicine Residency in Ohio at Summa Health System - Barberton Campus where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Summa Health and has experience in caring for a wide range of patients, from athletes (recreational to professional) to adolescents and older adults with acute and chronic musculoskeletal concerns. Dr. Gonzalez is involved with local high schools and colleges and provides non-operative treatment options for those of all ages. He has training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and advanced procedures such as Tenex, PRP, and Iovera. Although he will always be a Pennsylvanian (Go Penguins!), he now calls Sonoma County home with his wife and 2 cats. Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Gonzalez volunteering in the community, playing ice hockey, trail running, cycling, or on the golf course.

Dr. Kent Yinger

Dr. Kent Yinger is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder surgery and ACL surgery. He is fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He has been a partner at ROSA since 2001, where he has established a reputation as an exceptional and caring surgeon. Dr. Yinger graduated summa cum laude from Cal State Northridge. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Davis, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Davis. Committed to attaining specialized training, Dr. Yinger completed fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at UC Davis and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in Santa Monica under the guidance of Dr. Bert Mandelbaum. Dr. Yinger has published peer-reviewed articles in sports medicine and trauma. He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and is the team physician for Santa Rosa Junior College.

Dr. Michael W. Grafe

Dr. Michael W. Grafe is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with a certificate of additional qualification in Hand Surgery. He has been working at Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates since 2005, where he delivers cutting edge techniques for problems involving the shoulder, elbow, hand, and upper extremity. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and is the Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Consultant for the Trauma Service. Memorial Hospital has awarded Dr. Grafe for excellence in care in 2007, and he has been named a "Top Doc" by Castle Connolly and San Francisco Magazine in 2012, 2014, and 2015. He was also "Top Doc" in US News and World Report in 2012. Dr. Grafe received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the Boston University School of Medicine, as part of a combined program from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then completed residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. To further advance his training, Dr. Grafe also completed fellowships in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine and in Hand and Microsurgery at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Grafe continues to lecture at national and international meetings in the field of orthopaedic surgery. He has been published in numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, posters and presentations, and is a reviewer for the "Journal of Arthroscopy and Related Surgery".

Dr. Neema Pourtaheri

Dr. Neema Pourtaheri had a sucessful practice as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in elbow and shoulder care in Southhampton, New York before coming to Santa Rosa in 2017. After earning his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, he was awarded his M.D. degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He then completed his surgical residency at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, where he was honored as chief resident in his final year. Fellowship training in the sub-specialty of shoulder and elbow surgery then beckoned at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, after which he established himself in private practice. Dr. Pourtaheri has trained alongside some of the world's finest orthopedic surgeons in a time of dramatic technological advances. He still considers general orthopedics an ideal complement to his sub-specialty practice, offering services that include minimally invasive arthroscopy, fracture care and joint replacement, along with PRP and stem cell injections. Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Pourtaheri has published award-winning articles for medical journals and presented his findings at numerous professional conferences. He is also an official reviewer for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, the world's most prestigious journal in that field. Away from his practice, he enjoys family time with his wife, son and daughter, and recreational pursuits ranging from mountain biking, kayaking, and tennis to snowboarding and more.

Kevin Howe

Dr. Howe graduated with his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his internship and residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, where he received the Orthopaedic Chief Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Howe then had the honor to be selected as an Otto E. Aufranc Fellow in Total Joint Replacement Surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA where he trained with world-renowned Total Joint Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in complex arthritic problems of the hip and knee, and complex revision surgeries of the hip and knee as well. With over 20 years of experience Dr. Howe remains at the technological forefront of total joint replacement and revision surgeries. He uses state of the art OrthAlign "smart" technology which allows for the most precise surgery every time and is the next generation in orthopedic navigation. This, along with a strong focus on a multimodal approach to pain management including nerve blocks, allows many of his patients to safely and comfortably go home on the day of surgery. He operates at both of the major hospitals in town as well as an outpatient surgery center. Dr. Howe has been a partner of Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates since 2000. Born and raised here in Santa Rosa, he has a strong commitment to his community. He is a member of the Sonoma County Fair Board and is dedicated to helping maintain Sonoma County's agricultural roots for future generations.

Luis Garcia

Luis Garcia is a certified Physician Assistant. He joined Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates in 2011. Mr. Garcia received a Bachelor's degree in History and Spanish at UC Irvine. He then attended UC Berkeley where he completed the Postbaccalaureate Pre-medicine Program. He moved to North Carolina and completed the Physician Assistant Program and received a Master's Degree in Health Sciences from Duke University. His training included general surgery at Yale University and orthopaedic surgery at the VA Hospital System in Asheville, NC. He is certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support. He is a member of several professional organizations such as: American Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery and American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants. Mr. Garcia is very happy to live in Santa Rosa where he enjoys running, road cycling, and rock climbing.

Natalie Marks

Natalie Marks is a certified Physician Assistant with nearly ten years of experience in an orthopaedic setting. She joined Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates in 2007 and has skillfully assisted our surgeons with a wide range of services. Ms. Marks graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Sonoma State University before pursuing Physician Assistant studies with an additional degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. During her training, she completed surgical rotations in orthopaedics, general, major vascular, cardiac, plastic and OB/GYN. After graduation, Ms. Marks practiced with Surgical Physician Assistants, Inc. and then the Spine Clinic of Monterey Bay before joining our team at Redwood, where she assists with wound closure, joint injections and more.

Parker D. Timothy

Parker D. Timothy is a nationally certified physician assistant. He serves and treats patients of Redwood Orthopedic Surgery Associates, most especially those with shoulder and knee problems. He knows that no two people are the same, neither are any two joints, and will serve you and your joints accordingly. He received a bachelors degree with honors in mass communication from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. After working as a graphic designer for some time, decided to pursue medicine and earned a masters degree in physician assistant sciences from the University of New England in Portland, Maine. He's lived many places but now he loves living in Sonoma County with his wife and the two can be seen around walking and hiking with their dogs. He lived two years in the Dominican Republic where he learned fluent Spanish while serving as a missionary.
