Anthony Cox

Anthony is our Genetics Specialist covering all areas of the South Island. Anthony has been with Rural Livestock for 12 years in this role and is based in Canterbury. Anthony is married to Robyn and has three grown up children. Before coming to Rural Livestock, Anthony was involved in farm management for over 20 years in both the high and hill country of Central Otago and Canterbury. Having this experience, he brings a real commercial and practical approach to his role. Not only is Anthony involved in all our Stud Bull and Stud Ram sales throughout the South Island, but also assists many of our commercial clients with their breeding programs. This ranges from the purchase of bulls, rams, to helping clients select their female stock to be retained. He enjoys the outdoors, and you might find him boating or on the golf course (work permitting), or on the side-line watching his children playing cricket, netball or competing in multisport, though this is getting trickier, as two of them live in Australia. Anthony has been involved in the sheep and beef industry for over 30 years and is Rural Livestock's Stud Livestock Specialist. He joined the board in October 2021 and is also sits on the Audit, Finance Risk Committee. Anthony brings with him a practical understanding of the rural sector after two decades of farm management and has spent many years on various sport and recreation committees. He is passionate about finding new ways for Rural Livestock to leverage opportunities for growth to create further value for our clients.

Cameron Crosswell

Cam is born and bred in Waimatua, Southland where he grew up on a Dairy farm. Cam attended Verdon College in Invercargill before attending Lincoln University where he gained a Bachelor in Agricultural Science degree. Prior to his role as an agent at Rural Livestock Cam spent time working on a Sheep, Beef and Crop farm in Burnham, Canterbury. He has also done a season in Western Australia on a Sheep and Crop farm as well as several seasons with an agricultural contractor based in Southland. Cam joined the Southland Rural Livestock team in August 2021 where he is really enjoying his role in the Northern region of Southland, having met some great farmers and been to some awesome farms. In his spare time Cam is very passionate about sports, playing rugby union, cricket and even giving social netball a crack in Mossburn. He also enjoys going hunting and fishing any chance he gets.

Fiona Mules commenced her career as an investment banker specialising in transactions, before being brought in by the New Zealand Treasury to establish and lead a Public-Private-Partnership programme delivering infrastructure projects across New Zealand Since that time, Fiona has consulted to the New Zealand Government on numerous large-scale infrastructure projects and programmes across the areas of funding, financing, structuring and procurement. Fiona is a former Director of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Kiwirail Holdings Limited, and Lyttelton Port Company. She is also currently a Director of Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities. "I joined the team in 2021 and I am looking forward to bringing my extensive governance experience to bear as Rural Livestock embarks on its next growth phase."

Hamish Loe

Hamish has been with Rural Livestock as the Otago Area Manager since August 2017. Working with a fourteen strong Rural Livestock team of agents in Otago covering from the Waitaki River up to Twizel and down to Balclutha and through Central to Wanaka- a great part of our country. Prior to this role Hamish worked in Agri Banking with Rabobank based out of the Oamaru branch for 7 years and before that for Merial Ancare in the animal health industry for 5 years. Hamish grew up in Scargill, North Canterbury on the family farm and went to boarding school in Christchurch. Outside of work Hamish's wife Nic and Hamish have three children Molly, William, and Angus who they chase around the country with the various sports they play and hobbies they have. As a family they enjoy spending time on the water at the lakes with friends and family. Hamish enjoys playing a bit of cricket and is involved in the local Valley Rugby Football Club based in Weston Oamaru. Hamish also enjoys getting out to catch a few blue cod and paua from time to time. Jesse joined Rural Livestock as General Manager in February 2021, having previously worked as General Manager for Peter Walsh & Associates Ltd (PWA). He was with PWA for three years, and really enjoyed working closely with Peter & Karen Walsh in the Livestock & Finance businesses. Jesse really loves the challenges that the livestock industry brings. He enjoys meeting and working with people and is passionate about helping people to develop and achieve their goals. Jesse has always been close to farming and has enjoyed becoming involved with livestock again after growing up in a sheep and beef farming family in the North of England.

John Clarke

Originally from the Waikato, John is now based in Southland and loving it. He is a former dairy farmer from Weslern Southland but have always been interested in becoming an agent. Four years ago, he took the leap. With his background in dairy and interests in wagyu, he brings some specialist knowledge to the team and his customers. Outside of work, John likes spending time with his family, watching local sports and socialising. He has a keen interest in cars, tractors and modes of transport. Keith is Auckland based but has farming and forestry interests in the Lewis Pass, North Canterbury and in Wellington. He holds a BCA in Economics and Accounting. Originally involved in financial trading, investment banking and general management at DFC prior to 1991, he has since been involved in corporate advisory, reconstruction, and governance for 30 years. Keith has been a director of Rural Livestock since May 2015 and is presently a director of Southbase Construction and chairs the House of Travel Group.

Rodger Eade

Rodger was born in Invercargill, Southland and raised on a deer farm. He has been involved in the agricultural industry his whole life. Rodger studied at Massey university where he got an Agriculture Engineering degree, but was always interested in livestock trading and wanted to give it a go. He was approached by a Rural Livestock agent and the rest is history as they say. Rodger has now been an agent for eight years and fulfils the role of Regional Manager for Southland. He oversees and helps the other agents in Southland where they look after the dairy, sheep and beef farmers. "I really enjoy managing the team, learning from the old hands and helping the young guns in getting their customers the best trades out there. " Outside of work he tries to spend as much time as possible with his kids. He enjoy fishing and diving, watch a bit rugby and is quite the runner - it helps get his mind off work, he says. "Surround yourself with people that will only lift you higher," is a quote Rodger lives by. "I work for my kids, my colleagues and my customers and achieving success is what inspires me."

Stephen McCormick - CFO

Stephen is in control of managing the finances of Rural Livestock and ensuring that all transactions are accounted for and are compliant. Stephen was appointed the CFO in 2017. He also oversees the adminstrative team in the office and takes responsibility for the migration to a more digital way of working at Rural Livestock. Based in Christchurch at the head office, he can be seen cycling to work more often than not.
