Bio: Amanda joined SDI in May 2016 as an Inside Sales Representative. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Mississippi State University in 2012. Following her degree, she immediately began working with New York Life Insurance Company until taking a position in the steel world with SDI. Amanda took the responsibility of handling many Construction Painted customers when SDI Columbus built their world class Paint Line. Amanda's hometown of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, gave her a love for community. Amanda is happily married to her husband, Alex and together they have a sweet baby boy, Waylon. In their spare time, they love Mississippi State sports, hunting, traveling and spending time with their family and friends. Being a young accomplished is far from her greatest goal.

Amy Fulton

Bio: Amy joined the SDI Columbus Inside Sales Team in 2012, and brought with her over 20 years of sales experience. She has successful previous experience in the Real Estate, Pharmaceutical Sales (Baxter & Abbott Laboratories), and Insurance industries. Shortly after joining SDI Columbus, she transitioned to the Inside Sales Automotive team where she is an integral part of our growing automotive market. Amy enjoys spending time with her husband Tim (who also works on the Continuous Pickle Line), their three beautiful children, and her amazing grandchildren.

Angie Ayers

Bio: Angie was born in Columbus, MS. She is a 1984 graduate of Caldwell High here in Columbus. Her interests were business management and sales. Angie previously worked as an accounting clerk, moving to credit manager and then promoted to a product manager with Microtek Medical/EcoLab within the 13 years she worked with them. Angie brought that experience to Severcorr in Feb of 2008 as an Inside Sales person and is still holding that position today as Inside Sales Representative for Steel Dynamics, Columbus Flat Roll Division. Angie is married and has a 26 year old daughter, that works as a lab technician at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Angie enjoys writing, fishing and grilling out.

Ashley Tyler

Bio: Ashley Tyler is from West Point, MS and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business- Hospitality Management from The University of Southern Mississippi. Ashley has worked in multiple sales positions before joining the Steel Dynamics Inside Sales Team in 2017. She enjoys building relationships with her customers, as well as coworkers, and she spends her leisure time doing outdoor recreational activities with her friends and family.

Barry Schneider

Barry was named Senior Vice President, Flat Roll Steel Group in 2016. Barry is responsible for the company's two flat roll steel mills and ten flat roll coating lines, producing hot roll, cold roll and coated steel products, including a wide variety of specialty products, such as light gauge hot roll, galvanized and painted products. Barry was also part of the team that constructed the company's first steel mill in 1994, serving in several engineering and operational roles in the melt shop during the company's first five years of operations. He was the manager of the Butler Flat Roll Division's hot strip mill and later the cold rolling and coating facilities from 2000 to 2007. Barry then held the position of general manager for the Engineered Bar Products Division from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, Barry was named vice president of bar products overseeing the company's Engineered Bar Products and Roanoke Bar steel divisions. Barry earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science in engineering management from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Ben Green

Bio: Ben was an inside sales representative for a large human resources services company before joining RMI in 2012. A native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing at West Chester (Pennsylvania) University in 2011. Ben played on the West Chester soccer team for three years, and he now plays in an adult soccer league. Softball and golf are also among Ben's leisure-time activities.

Bill Soldano

Bio: Bill joined AIMS in 1998, and became president and owner in 2008. Headquartered in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, AIMS sells for the Flat Roll Division and The Techs. Bill has nearly 30 years' experience in the business. Before AIMS, he established a long, successful career in sales and marketing with steel-manufacturing companies and steel service centers. He grew up in Jamestown, New York, and played football and earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Bill and his wife, Laura, have two children, Austin and Jackie. He enjoys golfing, hunting pheasant, and spending time with family and friends.

Brian represents the fifth generation of his family to work in the steel industry. A native of Boston, Brian earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Susan, were college sweethearts. They have four children, Jordan, Benjamin, Carly, and Abby. Brian enjoys golf and family travel.

Charlie Furman

Bio: Charlie Furman has been with Steel Dynamics for two years as Regional Sales Manager and as a Strategic Accounts Manager, since the acquisition of the Columbus, MS facility in September 2014. Prior to that, he was a Regional Sales Manager for Severstal in the Southern Region for two years. Charlie has been affiliated with the Columbus facility for over ten years as part of the original startup team when the company began as Severcorr. In addition to his Commercial roles for Columbus, Charlie had an extensive career in Human Resources with Severcorr/Severstal, and prior to that with Bethlehem Steel at several plant locations.

Chris Graham

Chris was named Senior Vice President, Downstream Manufacturing Group in 2016. Chris is responsible for the company's fabrication operations and the company's strategic growth in the area of adding other downstream manufacturing facilities that will utilize Steel Dynamics steel products as raw material in the manufacture of other value-added goods. Chris was part of the team that constructed the company's first steel mill in 1994. He held various leadership positions within the steel group prior to moving into the fabrication operations in 2007. He was responsible for four operating fabrication plants from 2007 to 2010, at which point he also became the team leader responsible for overseeing the restructuring and integration of three acquired fabrication facilities. In 2013, Chris was named vice president of Steel Dynamics and the president of its fabrication operations, and in 2014 he was given responsibility for the integration of the Columbus Flat Roll Division. Chris earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Western Governors University and a MBA from the University of Saint Francis.

Bio: Chris is back in the SDI fold after a five-year absence. He's worked in the steel business his entire career. Before coming to SDI in 1996, Chris gained experience at a steel service center and with an international steel-trading company. He joined the flat-roll mill as a regional sales manager, and in 1998, was promoted to sales manager. Chris moved to Paragon Steel, a subsidiary of SDI, in 2007, and then founded his own steel service center business four years ago. He earned a bachelor's degree in history at Indiana University. Chris is married, has three children, and enjoys golf and travel.

Christine Hernandez

Bio: Christine joined the SDI team in September 2014. She was previously with Rouge Steel (acquired by Severstal in 2003) and served another 11 years with Severstal, selling for both the Dearborn, Michigan, and Columbus, Mississippi, mills. Christine managed the customer service, order processing, and pricing departments prior to assuming the role of automotive sales manager. A native of Michigan, Christine earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance at the University of Michigan. She's an avid golfer, and she and her husband, Larry, have two children, Madison and Kyle.

Cindy Young

Bio: Hired by SDI co-founder Dick Teets back in 1996, Cindy has been with the Butler mill since start-up. She began as a scheduler, moved to sales, and is now an Account Manager with customers in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Canada. Before joining SDI, Cindy worked in sales for Winzeler Stamping Co. in Montpelier, Ohio. Cindy's husband, Rory, a rolling mill operator, has also been at Butler since start-up. They have two children and eight grandchildren. Cindy enjoys golf, volunteering with Junior Achievement and other nonprofits, and spending time with family.

Crystal Powell

Bio: Crystal received her real estate license in 2006. She was a very successful multi-million dollar Realtor for 6 years until the economy took a nosedive. She received rooky of the year her first year selling. In 2011, She decided it was time for a career change considering things didn't look good for the real estate market for years to come and joined what was then Severstal. Sales is her passion and the steel business was a fit. She started in 2011 managing service center automotive accounts. The automotive business continues to grow in the South, so now she is managing over 450 automotive parts that are direct and indirect OEM business. Crystal is a lifelong resident of Columbus, MS. She is a wife of a SDI employee whom inspects on the pickle line and a mother of a 5-year-old daughter. Outside of building her career in the steel business, she loves spending every moment with her family. She also enjoys shopping and doing arts and crafts.

Bio: Dan entered the steel industry directly out of university following completion of his Metallurgical Engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines in 2009. His career began as the Hot Rolled Metallurgist at then-Severstal -- Columbus, MS. After 3 years in this role, he moved to the commercial team as an Automotive Account Manager in 2012 and held this role through SDI's acquisition of the Columbus, MS facility. Dan lives in the greater Nashville area and continues to focus on new domestic automotive OEMs and control companies. Dan is happily married, has 2 daughters, and enjoys Scuba, Jiu-Jitsu and fitness.

Darcie started her professional career working in the steel industry in 2008 with ArcelorMittal where she completed a yearlong sales training program before becoming an Account Manager. Prior to working for ArcelorMittal, she attended Pennsylvania State University where she graduated with a BS in Supply Chain and Information Systems. Being a Denver native, when she is not working, she is an avid backcountry skier and enjoys staying active in the great outdoors.

A native of Louise, Mississippi, Eric earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA at Mississippi State University. In his spare time, he enjoys being on the water, and is an avid fan of college sports, especially his beloved MSU Bulldogs where he participated in the co-ed cheerleading team as a student from 2006-2011.

Fernando Calderon

Bio: Fernando joined Steel Dynamics in 2018 as a Technical Resource Specialist, after completing several metals-related internships during college including working at SDI's own OmniSource in Mexico. As he came on board, he underwent extensive, on-site training at the SDI Columbus facility for a full year, covering from steelmaking to hot rolling, finishing, and coating lines. As a Technical Resource Specialist, he played an important role in the commercialization of AHSS for the automotive steel industry in Mexico. In his current role as an Account Manager, Fernando is responsible for the development and supply of several of the biggest Automotive OEMs in Mexico. Fernando graduated from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Administration and is pursuing an MBA for the near future. He is a life-long car enthusiast that also enjoys playing guitar, photography, and travel. Currently residing in Monterrey, Mexico, he loves spending time with his girlfriend, family, and friends."

Glenn Pushis

Glenn was named Senior Vice President, Long Products Steel Group in 2016. Glenn is responsible for the company's four long product steel mills, producing specialized engineered bars, structural steel, railroad rail, merchant bars and other specialty steels, primarily serving the construction, transportation and industrial sectors. 

Glenn was also part of the team that constructed the company's first steel mill in 1994. He held various leadership positions within the steel group, including the positions of general manager for the Engineered Bar Products Division from 2003 to 2007 and more recently, the Butler Flat Roll Division from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, he was named vice president of sheet products and oversaw the company's Butler Flat Roll Division and eight flat roll coating lines located in Indiana and Pennsylvania. 

Glenn earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and his MBA from Indiana University.

Janet left the steel industry in 1999 after having her second child, and then in 2006 Janet and Mark moved to Columbus Mississippi to start up Severcorr. Janet started as an Inside Sales Rep and then in 2008 she was promoted to Inside Sales Supervisor. Janet grew up in Florida and attended Edison Community College in Fort Myers, Florida and studied nutrition. Javier Nino

Bio: Javier holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Quality and Productivity. He started his career at the steel industry in 2010 working at Ternium, where he served in a number of progressively responsible roles, most recently as their Sales Manager for the appliance market. Javier joined the SDI Mexico Sales team in June 2020 and he brings a deep understanding of the North American appliance and HVAC market. In this new role, Javier will be working to support our growing appliance, HVAC, and equipment customers in Mexico. He and his family will continue to reside in the Monterrey area. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, triathlons, and CrossFit.

Serving as Vice President of Human Resources and Safety, Jeff's Human Resources role is to monitor, enhance, and manage a variety of employee relations and development activities, such as SDI's employee compensation, benefits, medical plans, and employee training programs. In his Safety role, Jeff leads, develops, implements, and maintains safety programs and policies throughout Steel Dynamics. Jeff came to Steel Dynamics in 1997 and has worked in a variety of engineering, supervision, and management functions. Prior to his current role, Jeff was the Plant Manager of Mesabi Nugget, leading all aspects of the construction, start-up, and operation in Minnesota. Jeff also had significant involvement in the Iron Dynamics facility in Butler, Indiana. Jeff holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer.

Laura Kessler

Bio: Laura joined SDI in February, 2016, bringing more than 15 of experience in the metals industry. She began her career at National Steel as a Management Associate in Automotive and progressed to outside sales in Construction Products. Laura Selb

Bio: Laura started out as an administrative assistant at AIMS in 1996, right after she graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania. She learned a lot about the steel-sales business from that vantage point before advancing to inside sales manager. She and her husband, George, have two children, Connor and Bridget. Laura's favorite pastimes include spending time with family and friends, reading-and hiking, swimming, and kayaking at the family's summer home in the Pocono Mountains.

Bio: Lori came to SDI during the construction of the flat-roll mill in 1995 and was part of the team led by John Nolan that created the sales department. Lori got her start in the industry in 1979, working in personnel, administration, and sales at Nucor's mill in Norfolk, Nebraska, her hometown and where she studied business at the local college. In 1988, she became part of the start-up team for Nucor's mill in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Although she's often on the road in her job, Lori still loves to travel during her rare leisure time.

A St. Louis native, Nancy earned a bachelor's degree in marketing-with minors in chemistry and biology-at the University of Evansville. Her first professional position was with Allied Chemical, where she worked with clients producing semiconductors, such as IBM. Another highlight on her résumé was as general manager of Mitsui's steel-trading office in Chicago. Nancy inherited a love of gardening and a green thumb from her mom. Her other interests include reading, exercise, travel, a love of animals, and supporting worthwhile charities. She and her husband, David, currently reside in St. Louis.

Penn grew up in Davenport, Iowa, and earned a bachelor's degree in history at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Penn and his wife, Amy, have two sons, Penn and Sam. The boys are very involved in Scouting, and dad serves as a scout master. Penn's other leisure activities include golf and winter sports.

Rigo earned a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering degree in 1991 from University Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems in 1997 from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). Rigoberto, his wife and their three daughters live in Monterrey, Mexico. He enjoys free time with family and friends, as well as outdoor sports.

Russ joined Steel Dynamics in July 2011 as an Executive Vice President of SDI and President and Chief Operating Officer of OmniSource Corporation. OmniSource procures metal scrap, processes it, and markets these recycled metals to external customers and supplies ferrous scrap to SDI's steel mills. Prior to joining Steel Dynamics, Russ was an executive vice president of the Commercial Metals Company (CMC), a Texas-based mini-mill steel company. He has more than 30 years of experience in the steel and metals recycling industries. Russ is a graduate of the Executive Program of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and of the Management Development Program at the University of Michigan's Business School. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing and Business Administration from Texas Lutheran University.

Prior to joining Steel Dynamics, Theresa served as assistant corporate controller for Fort Wayne National Bank and as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young LLP.
