Our practice is almost entirely residential; while many examples in the portfolio are new construction, renovation or remodeling constitutes as much as half of our work. We've done work from Scarsdale, through Westchester, into Fairfield County and occasionally further afield. In addition to classic single-family residential work, we've done everything from market-spec condominiums in New Canaan to high-end multi-family projects on Shippan Point in Stamford, but many projects these days are so-called townhomes close to town centers... Our design philosophy is inspired by local precedent. As students of vernacular design, we often employ the sheltering informal shingle-style for water-front homes-cedar-shingled roofs sweeping down over porches or verandas-or, where more generous parcels are available-we love the balanced elegance of Georgian Colonials.
