SWA

A safe and secure water supply is fundamental for a healthy and growing Samoa, now and in the future. The Samoa Water Authority (SWA) is the major water service provider in Samoa and is devoted to meeting that challenge (15% is supplied by independent village water schemes). Since we were established in 1993 we have made real progress in providing treated reticulated water through an expanded, more reliable network. It is not easy in a developing economy, in difficult tropical conditions and with limited resources and old infrastructure - there is still much to do. But, together with the Samoan community, and with the support of international funding we are continuing to replace old pipes, utilize new technology and extend our network to benefit more and more of our nation's people and our economy.
