Brian owned and operated McLeran Roofing Company for over 40 years. His father, Charles E. McLeran adopted the motto, "Dependable Roofing Service" when he established McLeran Roofing in Larkspur in 1929. Charles' simple motto has been the guiding principle of the company since its early days. Brian learned the trade from his father and took over daily operation in 1978. McLeran Roofing grew over the years under Brian's leadership, but the core belief in quality workmanship, product knowledge and customer service remains a company tradition. McLeran Roofing is a charter member of the Marin Builders Exchange. Brian worked with the Marin Builders Association and Marin Sanitary Service to establish the Roof to Roads recycling program for roofing materials.

Christine Puccini

Role: Christine is responsible for the business development of the Marin Builders Association. She works to develop and implement outreach to new members while enhancing our current members' understanding of our services. Christine assists with marketing and the successful coordination of events and programs. Professional: Prior to arriving at the Marin Builders Association, Christine worked in property management for Lipnosky Real Estate, LLC of the East Bay, East Blithedale Associates of Mill Valley and The Shorenstein Company of San Francisco. Her property management background has expanded her understanding and appreciation of the construction industry and its impact on the community. She prides herself in her ability to communicate, problem solve and impact change. Accomplishments/Community Service/Volunteer Activities: Christine has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. She graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Economics. Personal: Christine grew up in San Francisco but has lived in Terra Linda for over 25 years. "How my clients and business is served has much to do with nine years working in village development with the Institute of Cultural Affairs on three continents with my family in tow. As a former Girl Scout co-leader she helped her troop grow for 13 years from young kindergartners to leaders in high school. Personal: Gabriela was born in Buenos Aries, Argentina and she is fluent in Spanish. She has been married to her partner-in-crime, Bill Shea for 30 years. They are fortunate to have two lovely children, Brenton (28) and Jillian (25). The Sheas are long time residents of Marin and they have enjoyed living in Marinwood for over 25 years. She launched Fresh Coat Painters Marin in 2020 and is ranked within the Top 25 of over 100 Fresh Coat locations in the United States. She served as a Board Member for Family Works for five years, volunteers for Big Brother Big Sister of North Bay and is a member of BNI Network 54.

Matthew O'Brien

Role: Matt is responsible for coordinating & supervising the North Bay Construction Corps. Professional: Matt is a retired Battalion Chief. Matt spent his fire department career as a training officer as well as fighting fires and responding to medical calls. In the past 11 years of retirement, he has volunteered in the MarinSEL Engineering program at Terra Linda High School helping teach high school students how to utilize tools, design plans and build projects. Accomplishments/Community Service/Volunteer Activities: Matt has been a youth sailing instructor at the Richmond Yacht Club for the past 11 years. He also still volunteers in the MarinSEL Engineering class when needed. He also serves as a volunteer for Jessica's Haven Dog Rescue which supports adults with special abilities by transporting rescue dogs or volunteering at their fundraiser. Personal: Matt was born and raised in Marin County. He currently lives in Terra Linda with his wife and has five grown children and six grandchildren. In Matt's free time he loves to fish, build things, sail and travel with family and friends. Michelle Whiteside

She started her career in mortgage banking and real estate and continues to be a player in the RE industry, maintaining an active broker's license today. She owned and operated 3 Marin County restaurants before making her pivot into construction. In 2008, Michelle joined her husband, Dave, at Whiteside Construction- a company he founded in 1986. Nicole graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Conservation Resources and Native American Studies, and UC Davis with an MS in Community Development.
