MAMAS GREEK CUISINE

Mamas Greek Cuisine is a family owned Greek restaurant located in the heart of the Famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks... Mama was a resident of Tarpon Springs since 1961. Born and raised in Kalymnos, Greece, she came to this country with her husband John and three children. Her husband was a sponge diver when the industry was prosperous and alive. Mama stayed home and raised her children and added two more to the family. Finally, in 1978 Mama and her eldest son opened a Greek family style restaurant. Patrons were reminded of their own mothers' home cooking. Mama made sure that all of her ingredients were fresh and insisted on cooking everything as if she were cooking at home. Mama's Greek Cuisine has built a fine reputation in the restaurant business, earning the slogan "Where The Locals Meet to Eat!"... Come see why we are 'The place the locals meet to eat.'
