Claire Cho

Violinist Claire Cho has earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and continued her Doctoral study in Music Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. Her major teachers included Yong-Ku Ahn, Berl Senofsky, Dr. Hal Abeles and Dr. Dino Anagnost. During her Doctoral study at Columbia University, she was one of the main scholars to lead Dr. Abeles' various Educational Projects and studied Orchestral Conducting with the late Maestro Dr. Dino Anagnost and worked as his teaching assistant. She was a faculty member at Columbia University teaching Violin Pedagogy and Orchestra Conducting. She also served as Music Director at Christ Lutheran Church in Bethesda, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Gaithersburg, Youth Orchestra Conductor at Global Mission Church in Silver Spring, and Music Director at Baltimore Presbyterian Church. Performing extensively as a soloist and chamber musician, she gave recitals at Griswold Hall, Leakin Hall in Baltimore, and Horace Mann Hall, Thompson Hall in New York City, recently appeared at Muldoon Concert Series in Virginia. Currently, she actively performs as a violinist of the Washington Chamber Orchestra in Washington DC metropolitan area. A member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), ASTA (American String Teachers Association), and MSMTA (Maryland State Music Teachers Association), she maintains her violin and viola studio in Gaithersburg, MD. Her students have selected as members of reputable youth orchestras and won numerous regional and national competitions.

Clarence Ramsey

Ramsey was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and is married with 2 children. At his own church, he is on the Board of Trustees and serves as Head of Security and maintenance coordinator. Clarence is an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens, and loves high performance cars - one of which he owns and loves to race on the track!

Dr. Jinsun Cho

Versatile and critically-acclaimed organist Dr. Jinsun Cho has been praised by The ORGAN for her "distinguished interpretation", "sensibility", and "brilliant technique". Dr. Cho's experience spans performance, musical leadership and academic roles in Baltimore/Washington DC area, and her native South Korea. She has appeared in concerts throughout the United State, Europe, South America, and South Korea, performing at National Shrine and Spivey Hall in the USA, St. Bavokerk in the Netherlands, Sct. Hans Kirke in Denmark, St. Stephen's Cathedral in Austria, Tyn church and St. Ignatius church in the Czech Republic, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul Arts Center, and Young-San Art Hall in South Korea. She holds the Bachelor of Music Degree in Church Music and Organ from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. During her undergraduate program, she studied the North German organ school extensively with internationally-renowned organist Piet Kee and Ewald Kooiman in the Netherlands, also organ construction in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. After receiving the Master of Music degree with Lynn Taylor Hebden Prize in performance and Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, she completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, worked with Donald Sutherland (organ), Webb Wiggins (Harpsichord), and Joel Wizansky (piano). She has won prizes in many prestigious competitions, including the Arthur Poister Organ Competition and the San Marino Organ Competition. She has served as the Director of Music at Christ Lutheran Church in Bethesda, MD; the organist at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Annandale, VA; and the assistant director of the Capitol Hill Chorale in Washington, DC. She has also taught courses in sacred music and applied organ/piano at Yonsei University, Mokwon University in South Korea, and the Catholic University of America and Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dr. Cho is currently the Director of Music at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington, DC.

Glenna J. Huber

Rev. Glenna J. Huber is the 15th Rector of the Church of the Epiphany. Before joining Epiphany, she served as Vicar at the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church in Baltimore. She has also served as a consultant for urban congregations on the efficacy of community organizing in congregational development. For the past 15 years Rev. Huber has served in a number of pastoral roles in Baltimore and Atlanta, including ecumenical and educational positions. Her positions have provided her with the opportunity to offer pastoral care and counsel to teachers, seniors and parents, and students from pre-school to high school. She has experience in working in a variety of communities and neighborhoods ranging from suburban affluent neighborhoods to under served and economically depressed environments. In relationship to her capacity within the church, Rev. Huber is a sought out lecturer and has addressed subjects ranging from leadership in the church and in the community to faith and justice and systemic injustice, including urban poverty, education, housing, redlining, and how the church can respond to issues affecting our community, to racism and reconciliation. She has contributed a chapter to "Organizing and The Church: Congregations Organizing for Growth," which is to be published sometime in 2017. Awards that Rev. Huber has received include the Distinguished Alumni award, conferred by Holland Hall School, Community Service Award, conferred by the Baltimore Police, and Marylander of the Year, honorable mention by The Baltimore Sun.

Hubert (Peate) Pegues

Peate Pegues is a native of Alexandria, Virginia and attended Alexandria public schools. He was introduced to music as a child at Alleyne AME Zion Church in Alexandria. He studied viola and voice in public schools and in college at West Virginia State College. Presently, Mr. Pegues sings in the men's choir at Alfred Street Baptist Church, Alexandria and serves as the Director of the Welcome Table Choir at Epiphany. Mr. Pegues loves to sing sacred and gospel music. Hear a solo by Peate.

Roland Mansfield

Roland Mansfield comes to the Church of the Epiphany after working as a facilities coordinator and retail manager. He has been a member of Saint Alban's Episcopal Church since 2006, where he volunteered his woodworking skills to repair and restore their handcrafted wooden nativity set. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Roland is a native plant enthusiast, bibliophile and film buff. He occasionally practices animation and other art forms. He is delighted to join the meaningful work at Epiphany.

The Reverend Linda Kaufman

Rev. Linda has a fierce love of justice. She embodies that love in her work to end homelessness. Using humor, compassion, and the awesome ability to tell stories, she is able to move a group of people to do things they never thought possible. Her thirty-year commitment working with homeless individuals has galvanized into a joyous and steely resolve to end homelessness. She is a frequent and sought-after speaker at conferences and churches. Should she ever retire from justice work, Linda plans to be a barista making exquisite though fleeting foam art on espresso drinks.

William Thomas

As Epiphany's Development Director, Will assists with grant management and the development of relationships with foundations and other sponsors. Will has worked for over a decade at the intersection of food insecurity, health, and LGBTQ issues, achieving advocacy wins and changing policy at the local, state, and Federal levels at organizations such as Food & Friends, Hunger Free America, AARP Foundation, and Meals on Wheels America. He has also worked as a development and evaluation consultant for clients such as Black Film Archive, the Jackson Medical Mall Foundation, and the National Council on Aging. Will is a member of St. Thomas's Episcopal Parish in Washington, D.C. He recently earned his Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction certification, and in his free time, you can probably find him at SoulCycle or E Street Cinema.
