Situated in a historic old barn built in 1896 (the bar was the bull pen; the main dining room housed the cows), the ‘6 House Pub is part of a 17 acre complex, complete with a babbling brook, an expansive duck pond, lovely gardens, a stately gazebo, and the historic 1896 House Inn which includes three hotel properties - Brookside & Pondside country guest rooms, and the luxurious Barnside suites... The '6 House Pub, formerly called The 1896 House Restaurant, has been in operation since 1948 and has served more than three million guests. Since this building once housed the Williamstown Theatre Festival's late night Cabaret, we have served many people you may have heard of - - Paul Newman, Mary Tyler Moore, Angela Lansbury, Count Basie, Joanne Woodward, Chita Rivera, Christopher & Dana Reeve (they met on our property!) and many, many, more.
