Amanda Rakkausonni

Pilates Instructor Amanda discovered Pilates in 2013, and loved the way it made her feel stronger and more flexible as well as enhancing her mind body connection. This new found passion quickly developed into regular practice of 2-3 hours a day, a few days a week, and then a decision to train as a Pilates Instructor and share her passion with others. Amanda attained her certificate IV in Matwork and Reformer Pilates in 2019, and a further Certificate IV and Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology in 2021. Amanda loves seeing the progress her clients make week to week and the difference this makes to physical and mental health, as well as the shared enjoyment of achievement as clients master new challenges in their Pilates practice. When not Teaching Pilates Amanda enjoys boating and fishing with her husband, chilling with her cats, and sweating out in a Bikram yoga.

Amy de Jong

Amy started her career at Brisbane's Prince Charles Hospital where she developed a passion for rehabilitation, inspiring her to pursue post-graduate study. After a family holiday to Tasmania she was determined to move to Hobart, and made this a reality in 2016! Amy has worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital ever since. Amy has now joined the team at Allcare Physiotherapy and continues to work part-time on the in-patient rehabilitation team. Amy has a keen interest in helping survivors of stroke and brain injury, as well as those living with any other neurological conditions. Amy qualified as a reformer Pilates instructor after falling in love with the whole-body workout the reformer offers! Amy has always been fascinated by the human brain and body thanks to a family of dedicated healthcare workers. Amy is a Queenslander who has loved the cool Tassie climate since 2016. She has put down roots in our island state with her Tasmanian partner and beloved Labrador Maple. When she's not working, Amy's probably chatting with someone (in English, French or Spanglish), adventuring with Maple, or planning her next learning opportunity!

Brice Pennicott

Brice is an APA Titled Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist with extensive experienced in treating both acute sporting and musculoskeletal injuries. He has a particular interest in the lower body, particularly knee injuries such as ACL tears as well as having an interest in muscle tears and ankle ligament injuries. Brice has a variety of sports experience including local amateur teams, professional individual sport athletes as well as having held the position of Head of Medicine for a professional Soccer team in the English Football League. He enjoys being able to apply that experience to the management of all his clients, particularly incorporating strength and conditioning principals into his rehabilitation as well as targeted manual therapy when it is required. Brice is a Registrar in the Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy Specialisation training program, a Registered Specialist with the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy, current President for the Tasmanian branch of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and a Tasmanian branch council member of Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy Australia. Away from Physiotherapy, Brice enjoys being outside in the Tasmanian wilderness and you will often find him hiking and camping in some of the more remote mountains within the state.

Chrissy Tadros

Chrissy specialises in sporting injuries including running related injuries, ACL rehabilitation, hip/groin pain and shoulder injuries in throwers. She has a background in strength and conditioning, yoga and Pilates and leads a number of our dynamic classes. Chrissy has extensive experience in a variety of sports and has previously worked with a variety of sports including the Australian Stingers at the World Water Polo championships, North Melbourne AFLW, VFL, and community soccer and hockey clubs.

Emma Keleher

Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (MCEP), Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Ba. SpExS), ESSA Member Emma graduated from Deakin University in 2023 with a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Before this, Emma completed a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science at La Trobe University in 2020. Throughout this time, she has had many hours of practical experience with a diverse range of clients with acute and chronic conditions and injuries. Emma has moved back to Hobart after studying in Melbourne for 5 years, and she is loving being back home amongst the community and with her family and friends. She has a history with sport, having been an elite junior hammer thrower for which she represented Tasmania and Australia. She was also a state swimmer, hockey player, and now dabbles in some CrossFit and wants to get back to her roots with hammer throw. This exposure to sport at a young age sparked her interest in how bodies respond to exercise, especially with various conditions and injuries. Emma loves providing holistic, client-centred care. She believes every client's story is important and enjoys building relationships with clients to further improve her care. As a new graduate, Emma is keen to learn more about what she wants to specialise in, but enjoys helping people of all ages and backgrounds. In her spare time, Emma loves spending time with her family and friends, enjoys staying active as well as keeping it balanced - watching TV in front of the fire with her pets!

Estelle Leray

Estelle graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011 with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (Majoring in Clinical Exercise Physiology). She then went on to further her education at Griffith University where she graduated in 2014 with a Master of Physiotherapy. She started her physiotherapy career working on the Gold Coast in a private practice where she developed an interest in Pilates, geriatric physiotherapy, neck and back pain and women's health. In 2019 she moved to Tasmania and joined us at AllCare Physiotherapy. She enjoys camping, swimming and freediving, though is still adjusting to the Tassie water temperatures.

Frances Roberts

Frances graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences and Masters in Physiotherapy in 2020. She grew up on the North West Coast of Tasmania and retains a strong commitment to the Tasmanian community, with a passion to provide holistic care, promote health, and to improve the quality of life of her patients. Frances enjoys staying active, and has a background in running, swimming and triathlons, for which she has represented Tasmania. This has given her first-hand experience in the importance of strength and conditioning, and specific training to achieve goals and overcome injuries. Frances works with the University Women's soccer team which has inspired further interest in injury prevention and rehab. Frances is a qualified GLA:D Program instructor, ONERO Program instructor and teaches Pilates. She is also a Level 1 ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Hayley Boon

Hayley holds a certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and completed her Certificate 4 in Pilates in 2020 after 13 years of participating in Pilates classes. Hayley loves how Pilates makes you feel strong and lengthened and can be meditative all at the same time. Before becoming a Pilates instructor Hayley worked in aged care, particularly with people with dementia. She loves working with the elderly and through her Pilates training she now, more than ever, has the ability to help and empower them to feel strong and confident in their mobility. Hayley also has a keen interest in women's pre and post-natal health, and the importance of fearless movement after birth.

Isabelle Warner

Isabelle graduated from La Trobe University, Melbourne in 2019 and started working at Warrnambool District Hospital where she developed a keen interest in neurological and rehabilitation physiotherapy including post trauma rehab, deconditioning and stroke. Having grown up in Hobart, the strong sense of community and opportunity for countless outdoor adventures drew her back, where she worked at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Isabelle loves getting to know her clients and helping them to engage in activities that are important to them and is really excited to be a part of the team at AllCare. Outside of work Isabelle enjoys making the most of everyday and is always looking to take on a new challenge. Lately, Isabelle has gained her level 2 cert in Ski Instructing, is training for an ultramarathon and spending time in the ocean swimming, sailing and "surfing".

Jason Rogers - Founder

Our third founding Director, Jason's personal philosophy is all about ‘lifelong learning'. He has over 20 years of clinical experience and almost as many years of dedication to ongoing study. He has a special interest in foot and ankle injury, for which he is currently completing his PhD at the Menzies Institute. Jason also has an interest in managing other lower limb injuries, spinal pain, headaches and jaw (TMD) complaints. He contributes regularly to teaching and lecturing with the Antarctic division, UTAS Medicine course, GP groups and the research circuit, and is a published author. Jason enjoys bushwalking in Tassie (who doesn't?), dabbles with running, and is a regular supporter and attendee at the Tassie hockey centre, where you will find at least one of his three kids training or playing on any given day.

Jessie Williams

Jessie was born and raised in Hobart, before moving to Canberra to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra, graduating in 2018. Since finishing university, Jessie has worked at private practices across both Hobart and Melbourne, where she was able to work with clients of various backgrounds and ages. Jessie played soccer for 18 seasons, representing Tasmania and Australia on several occasions as a youth player. She made the switch to AFL five years ago, after being signed as a rookie with the Tasmanian North Melbourne Kangaroos for their inaugural season. She has spent the past two seasons playing with Hawthorn in the VFLW competition. Jessie has also played high level touch football, futsal and tennis in the past. She spends her free time watching sport, looking at dog videos on social media and talking sport and physio with her partner, who is also a physiotherapist. Jessie is passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves, treating with a holistic approach. She particularly enjoys working with young female athletes and women of all ages, assisting them in achieving their physical and functional goals. Jessie is a qualified GLA:D Program Instructor and is in training to be an ONERO Program Instructor.

Lauren O'Keefe

In her teachings, Lauren aims to incorporate a balance of strengthening and stretching; of challenging the body and strengthening the mind/body connection. Her main goal is to empower others to engage in their own wellbeing journey in an inclusive, supportive environment. Outside of Allcare Lauren is a singer, songwriter and guitarist active in the Hobart live music scene for the last 15 years. She is a lover of vegetarian food, jigsaw puzzles, painting, coffee and being by the sea with her partner Tom and their zesty, loopy canine child, Winnie.

Leanne Downie

Born and bred in Hobart, Leanne has returned home after 22 years of living in Perth, Sydney and in the USA. Like many of us she has been lured by the wilderness and beauty of Tasmania with the added bonus returning to family. Leanne's academic career started with Exercise Physiology, adding Physiotherapy to her resume in 2004 in Perth, WA. After working in hospital and rehabilitation settings Leanne completed further studies in neurology and focused her work on acute care and rehabilitation of people with stroke and Parkinson's disease. With years spent in hospitals, aged care facilities, rehabilitation centres, community care and private practice, Leanne has diverse knowledge and skill sets. She completed her Polestar Pilates training in 2020 and has really enjoyed seeing the added benefits of applying these movement principals in a neurological setting. Outside of work Leanne's interests include anything water oriented; swimming, the beach, diving, fishing, boating and underwater hockey. And now, indulging in the Tasmanian wilderness and being with family.

Maria Kallas - Founder

Bachelor Applied Science in Physiotherapy, APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist Maria is one of the founding Directors here at AllCare. After graduating from LaTrobe University in Melbourne in 1989 Maria worked and travelled around Australia and Canada before coming back to Hobart in 2000 with her family. Prior to returning to Hobart, Maria worked in a renowned Melbourne shoulder practice and developed a strong interest in treating shoulder injuries. She continues to develop this area of interest and maintains a passion for everything to do with shoulder rehabilitation. Aside from physiotherapy Maria loves spending time with family and friends, studies a bit of French and enjoys being outside and active.

Niki Dieter

Niki's interest in physiotherapy originated from her own background in sport. Niki grew up in Newcastle playing soccer and was the goalkeeper for Sydney FC in the inaugural two seasons of the W-League, winning a premiership in her second season. Niki represented Australia in the Young Matildas before travelling to the USA to play college soccer in Connecticut, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2014. After college Niki went on to Scotland to play professionally with Glasgow City Football Club and also completed a strength and conditioning internship at the Scottish Institute of Sport. Upon returning to Australia, Niki completed a Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2019, and transitioned from soccer to AFL, playing VFLW with the Darebin Falcons. Since moving to Hobart in 2020, Nike has continued to play AFL with the Clarence Roos. Niki has a strong interest in treating sports related injuries and injury prevention, particularly in Aussie Rules and Soccer players. She also has a passion for providing safe physiotherapy care to the LGBTQIA+ community. Niki spends her free time being active in the Tassie wilderness and enjoys mountain biking, bushwalking and the occasional surf as well as spending time with her partner, friends and young dog Freddie.

Phil Ladlow - Founder

Phil is another founding Director of AllCare. Originally from Melbourne, Phil moved to Hobart in 1992 to indulge his passion for the great outdoors; Tasmania is his ‘spiritual home'. Phil has worked in acute and rehabilitation hospital settings in Melbourne and Hobart and have been providing Rehabilitation Physiotherapy services in the Private practice sector since 2000. He started a Pilates career in 2008, and since then have integrated this method into his work with clients with Neurological conditions, persistent pain, vestibular balance disorders and general deconditioning. Since 2012 Phil has been a mentor and educator with Polestar Pilates Australia for both Mat and Studio/Rehab series, teaching courses throughout Australia. Over the past 5 years, he has also lectured in Neuroscience for Health Science students at the University of Tasmania. Phil loves getting out amongst nature, especially with his family, engaging in bushwalking, mountain biking and surfing adventures.
