Dr. Philip Williams was born and raised in northeastern Indiana. He attended Indiana University for undergraduate school. He then began his optometric training at Indiana University School of Optometry where he graduated and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1982. Following graduation, he began a one-year residency program at the American Lake Veterans Administration Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Shortly after completion of that residency program in June 1983, Dr. Williams founded the Alpine Vision Clinic in Smokey Point (Arlington, WA). Dr. Williams is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Williams provides advanced eye and medical care to his patients with state-of-the-art optometric and medical equipment as well as a highly trained staff. Dr. Williams' professional interests include ocular disease management (diabetic eye care, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye and ocular surface disease, cataracts), complicated contact lens cases, refractive procedures, and medical eye emergencies. Dr. Williams has always been actively involved in organized optometry serving in various capacities in both the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). In the past, he has chaired various OPW committees and currently serves as the Finance and Budget Committee Co-Chair of the OPW. He is also currently serving on the OPW Legislative Committee. Dr. Williams is a past president of the Snohomish County Optometric Society as well as a past president of the OPW. At the national level, Dr. Williams serves on the Third Party Center Committee of the AOA while also serving as the AOA Federal Advocacy Representative to Washington State. Dr. Williams lives in Arlington with his wife Cathy. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. When away from the office Dr. Williams' interests include hiking, fishing, basketball, volleyball, scuba diving, working in the yard, and church service.

Whitney joined our team in 2013 as a patient care coordinator, and now serves as the office manager. Whitney also has skills as an optometric technician and in optical. She is committed to providing outstanding customer service to our patients and helps to facilitate a positive patient experience. She has a cheerful personality and greets everyone with a smile. When not working at Alpine Vision Clinic, she spends her time coaching volleyball at Everett Community College. She enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church, and Diet Coke.
