AREA DENTAL CLINIC - Key Persons

Dr. David Sullivan

Hello, welcome to Area Dental Clinic! My name is David Sullivan. I have recently moved back to Wisconsin and am thrilled to be serving the Watertown area. I feel very fortunate to work for such a devoted and collaborative dental team here at Area Dental. We recognize that the dentist office is not everyone's favorite place to be. Our team is dedicated to providing reasons to smile in a friendly, welcoming environment. I truly believe that providing the best dentistry starts with making patients comfortable, educating them, and empowering them to make a decision that aligns with their individual goals. My education started with a degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Upon graduation, I worked for a year as a dental assistant, which solidified my desire to pursue the dental field. I graduated from Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College and completed a General Practice Residency at New York- Presbyterian/ Weill-Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. I am a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. I am passionate about continuing education. My fiancé and I are excited to be back in Wisconsin, our favorite place to be. We met teaching sailing, so in the summers, you'll find me on one of the many lakes racing sailboats against friends and family. We also enjoy golfing. No matter the weather, I take advantage of the outdoor activities the Midwest seasons have to offer. I love the tightknit communities that make Wisconsin what it is, and I look forward to being involved in this one. I am excited to meet you and provide you reasons to smile! Welcome to the Area Dental Family!

Dr. Jarrod Thomas

Welcome! My name is Jarrod Thomas. Since 2009, I have had the privilege of being a part of the Area Dental Clinic team, serving patients of all ages with a wide range of dental needs. It is truly rewarding to practice amongst my family and friends in the Watertown area. Additionally, I'm proud to have expanded our top-notch services and locations to further care for the good people of Jefferson, Beaver Dam, and their surrounding communities. My focus, both in and out of the office, has always been to put people first and that is something that will never change. Since a young age, I have been fascinated by the work my father did as a Dentist and Oral Surgeon. I had my own Play-Doh drill and fill set and would play dentist, helping "Mr. Doh" every opportunity I had! If you ask my mother, she would tell you I said I wanted to be a dentist from the time I started speaking and never changed course. Helping people with their dental needs is truly my life-long passion. I attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed an honors thesis in the Department of Biochemistry. From there, I graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry and went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Denver, Colorado at the Veterans Hospital. I have completed hundreds of hours of post-graduate training in orthodontics (including Invisalign), dental implants, laser therapy, and sleep apnea and oral appliances. These experiences and continued training help me provide you with comfortable, esthetic, predictable and long-lasting care with the most current technology available. Community is important and I am a firm believer in giving back to the community that supports me. As a co-founder of The Run Turkey Run (www.therunturkeyrun.com), an annual Thanksgiving Day 5k event that donates all proceeds to local charities since 2012, I am proud of the fun and ever-growing participation of our community, surrounding communities, and their visiting families. To help keep our community's young smiles healthy, I established the "Seal a Smile Program" for the Watertown School District in 2013. As a believer that a healthy mind and body are just as important as, and correlated to, a healthy mouth, I am an active chairman of the board for both the Watertown YMCA and the Watertown/Oconomowoc Interurban Trail, which is a recreational trail that is being constructed connecting the two communities. I am also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Watertown Rotary Club, where I am a Paul Harris Fellow and past president. In and out of the office, you will almost always find me with a smile on my face. I am continuously inspired by and grateful for our loyal patients and dedicated team. Furthermore, I am so thankful for my wife and two children, who fill my every day with love, sunshine, and support. When out of the office, I enjoy alpine skiing, bicycling, running, spending time on our Christmas tree farm, and avidly supporting local and state sports teams.

Dr. Mehran Mehrabi

Hello. My name is Dr. Mehran Mehrabi. I am excited for the opportunity to provide my clinical expertise and excellent patient care in a safe, friendly environment at Area Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I have many years of service, both as a Board-Certified Oral Surgeon and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Ursinus College, Pennsylvania in 1996, I went to Boston University and graduated No. 1 in my class in Dental Medicine. I then completed an internship in general surgery, and an oral surgery residency at Emory University. Prior to residing in Wisconsin, I served in the Air Force, stationed in Keesler Airforce base in Mississippi, as well as Balad Air Force base in Iraq. My experience includes providing oral surgery to soldiers and civilians in combat while serving in the Air Force. I was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. Since 2009, I have been a resident of Wisconsin and have provided oral surgery to all ages in private group practice. Through presentations and publications, I contribute to continuous education in the dental and oral surgery field. My professional philosophy focuses on the role of oral health in detection and improvement of various system diseases. I understand a patient's mouth and body are intermingled and optimizing health requires clear communication between a team of providers. I truly look forward to collaborating with you and your dentist and doctors.
