IRISH JOCKEYS

The Irish Jockeys Association (IJA) is the only organisation that represents Professional Jockeys in Ireland and works on their behalf to best represent the interests of Professional Jockeys with the various other bodies within the industry such as the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB), HRI, The Association of Irish Racecourses, Sponsors, The Press and any other organisations that may affect them... Much of the work which the IJA does relates to the constant risks which a jockey takes and the Association represents its members at the Annual Safety Review meeting where any safety concerns of our members are voiced to the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB). If any member has more urgent concerns, we raise them immediately with The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) and seek a quick resolution.
