As York Cares Ambassador and employer member I am excited to use this time to support the charity with their Social Connections programme and develop our partnership. Creating a positive impact in our communities has always been a focus of mine and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a role and a company that aligns so closely with my values. I'm excited to join the York Cares team over the next few months to gain a greater understanding of all the work the goes on behind the scenes to facilitate volunteering and see how we can improve the way we support as employers. Alongside my professional role I have always taken on personal charity and fundraising challenges in my free time including the Yorkshire Marathon and the great North Swim. I am a mum of twins and home to three cats so there is never a dull moment in life. In my free time I love the gym, swimming, cooking and reading a good book with a cup of Yorkshire tea.'
