CVCS

The Christian School Society was organized in 1969 by a group of concerned parents who were convinced of the need for Christian education in Vermont's Champlain Valley area. It took 5 years of planning and gathering the support of those parents to finally make a Christian school become reality in 1974. Located in nearby Ferrisburg, just a few miles away from the current school, the first school opened in a rented converted retail store building. The school opened with grades one through six and additional grades were added later as the number of students increased. It was not long before it became apparent that the building was too small to hold the growing number of students.
