Prior to becoming a financial advisor, she was a professional ballet dancer from 1982 to 1998 with various national ballet companies. Having made such a career change gives her a unique perspective when helping clients figure out their "next steps." Holly began investing at age 19. Setting a financial foundation at an early age allowed Holly to realize saving early enabled her to make significant life changes. Today, she helps her clients frame their financial situation, stay focused on what is most important, and walks with them as they work toward financial independence. Holly earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2007 from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination. She earned a Master of International Management from Daniels College of Business - University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Capital University. In addition, she holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance (including long-term care, disability, and annuities). Personal Holly, her husband, Erik, and daughter, Maya, enjoy living in the Denver Highlands neighborhood. She enjoys traveling, cooking with her daughter, skiing, yoga, attending the ballet, and playing with her puppies, Cookie and Biscuit. She began investing at a young age with the support and guidance of her father, which made a long-term impression on not only the power of compound interest, but also her perspective of the industry and women in finance. She began her career interning for Merrill Lynch, while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and worked as a Registered Representative and New Client Consultant for TD Ameritrade. In 2016, she moved to Denver, Colorado, and began focusing on wealth management as a Senior Financial Consultant, building relationships through customized investment planning and wealth management. During her time at TD Ameritrade, later acquired by Charles Schwab, she attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Monica joined the Baroway Financial Group in 2022, where she focuses on building long-term relationships with clients by helping them grow and mitigate risk to their wealth while collaborating and partnering with her fellow colleagues. Monica is passionate about helping clients pursue their overall investment goals and empowering women to be more financially independent. She enjoys volunteering and being a better community member, specifically regarding financial literacy for the youth. Personal Monica lives in downtown Denver with her dog, Cora. She is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, where her parents currently reside. When Monica is not traveling or spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys all of what Colorado has to offer - concerts, shows, sporting events, skiing, hiking, and trying new restaurants around the city.
