The profile of activities of FTRL is quite wide. The facilities and services of FTRL are open to and are being availed-off by Fire Safety Equipment Manufacturers, Research and Development Organisations and Regulatory Authorities, which use laboratory services for Third Party Testing and Certification. As an independent test laboratory, the FTRL also provides test services for different fire & safety appliances to general public, firefighting service providers and others concerned with quality of equipment's, chemicals and materials used in firefighting. The laboratory activities consist of Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Performance Testing within laboratory premises as well as field fire testing.
