UROLOGY CENTER OF SOUTH FLORIDA - Key Persons
Dr. Robert G. Gold founded the Urology Center of South Florida in 1987. He has expertise in managing a broad range of urological problems. Dr. Gold has extensive experience in prostate and kidney diseases, urinary infections, incontinence and bladder dysfunction, and minimally invasive therapies for kidney stones. He performs a wide variety of endoscopic laser procedures for prostatic obstruction and urinary stones. Dr. Gold uses the no-scalpel vasectomy technique, and has available for his patients a broad range of therapies for erectile dysfunction. He has special expertise in treating urologic malignancies, such as bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and prostate cancer, as he practiced a portion of his residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer center in New York.
Dr. Gold takes special pride in devoting extra time to educate each patient about their illness and seeks to involve the patient in the medical decision making process. A fully informed patient will progress better with treatments that make sense. The patient will do better with the confidence that he or she has chosen the best therapy among several options.
Dr. Robert Gold has served as Chief of Staff and as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL. He has also served as Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Bethesda and continues to volunteer as Chairman of the Bylaws, Rules and Regulations Committee at Bethesda.
Dr. Gold is an active cyclist. He is a member and Ride Leader at the Boca Raton Bicycle Club. He is also a member of the zMotion Bicycle Club, the Florida Bicycle Association, and the League of American Bicyclists. Dr. Gold lives with his wife in Boca Raton. Their three children have left the nest. Their eldest daughter graduated from MIT and is now a data analyst in the private sector. Their younger daughter, also from MIT, is a medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Their son, the youngest of the three, is studying jazz drumming at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Born and raised in the blue collar North Jersey town of Belleville and the son of a deli/grocery owner, Dr. Biase knows all about serving the public and being "down to earth." For almost two decades Dr. Biase has provided state of the art urological care with an old school touch. His commitment to providing quality patient care is clearly evident by the personal touch he adds to all his patient encounters. In addition to making evening phone calls to all of his outpatient post-ops, he personally calls all his patients with blood-work, pathology and x-ray results.
Dr. Biase is married and has two children. Dr. Biase spends most of his free time involved in sports. He coached the Boca Jets Youth Football Team and has been an Assistant Coach at Saint Andrews High School since 2005.

As a Board Certified Urologist he treats all major aspects of urological disorders, and has advanced professional training in prostate disease, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, sexual dysfunction, and kidney stones. During his residency he did uro-oncology training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Skinner served as Assistant Clinical Professor at Albert Einstein before joining the Urology Center of South Florida.
Dr. Skinner has served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach twice. As a caring physician Dr. Skinner provides the highest standard of care and clinical treatment for his patients.
