My name is Carrie Singleton and I am based in York, UK. CRS Proofreading began in 2012 and I work from home as a freelance researcher, proofreader and transcriber. I am an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and I currently work as a consultant copyeditor for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (REU) and also at York Learning (York City Council's Adult Education Department). Prior to this, I worked for nine years as a Research Fellow and then as a Lecturer in Sociology and Social Research Methods. I have a BA Hons in Philosophy and Sociology and a Masters in Social Development.
