During my time in Hong Kong I visited Malaysia & Japan for the first time. In 1984 I had full access to the JASDF & JMSDF air bases around Tokyo plus the Starfighter storage at Gifu. I also went on board visiting aircraft carriers on many occasions including multiple visits to the USS Midway, USS Carl Vinson, USS Enterprise plus the chopper carriers USS New Orleans, USS Belleau Wood, USS Tarawa & USS Peleliu, USS Tripoli With the technology now available to make very high quality digital scans of colour slides, I have decided to make available the pictures taken over the years including the rare examples from Hong Kong & Japan in the 1980s.
