Amanda Murphy

Amanda, Administrator and Project Coordinator, has over 7 years of experience of local government administration specialising in operations and maintenance, heritage restoration, and cultural asset planning. She studied Interior Architecture in Spain prior to returning to Canada 8 years ago. Previously employed as a Community Services Manager and a regional Wildfire Resilience Program Coordinator, she spearheaded projects that intersected bylaw/policy development, community revitalization, and urban planning. By leveraging her knowledge of the challenges that small, rural communities face she assists 9dot's collaborative approach to working with both the public and private sectors to facilitate the completion of essential infrastructure capital projects and long-term asset management planning.

Jeannine Bradley

Jeannine, Civil EIT, Project Coordinator has a broad range of on-site site engineering, construction management and design experience in the water and wastewater, environmental, rail, gas and security industries. She is able to offer technical, engineering and management support throughout a project's full lifetime through engineering assessments, permitting, construction management, and data analysis and reporting. Jeannine has a personal interest in safety and environmental issues and has developed and implemented a range of innovative safety and environmental management programs including successfully diverting on average 98% waste from landfill on projects in which the waste management programs were utilized. Jeannine has co-ordinated and implemented a number of wastewater system capital upgrades, in additional to regulatory coordination as part of the Columbia Icefield Facilities' supporting team.

Justine Matheson

Justine, Senior Drafting and Technical Design Manager, has extensive experience in planning and design and is technically adept at drafting, pipe work design, architectural design, and 3D modelling. Justine is experienced in construction management and project planning and excels at providing documentation and oversite from the project start to finish. Justine is skillful at coordinating clients, suppliers and subcontractors and organizing logistics to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Justine has several years' experience managing the operation, maintenance and capital upgrades of numerous water and wastewater treatment facilities in Alberta and British Columbia, and through this has an excellent record of regulatory coordination including compliance reporting and permitting.

Kaylne Beka

Kaylne, Civil EIT, Project Manager has significant experience in structural and civil engineering design and construction, in addition to project management. Kaylne has coordinated the delivery of numerous successful structural projects local to Nelson, BC through planning and permitting, design and construction phases and excels at keeping her clients informed and satisfied, and delivering high-quality projects while maintaining budget and schedule.

Nicole Ward

Nicole is a professional agrologist and environmental scientist with a broad range of experience in environmental policy / regulation, sustainability, environmental education, and waste management. With over 20 years' experience in the environmental field, and client relations Nicole has a dynamic portfolio. She has successfully worked with local, regional, provincial, and federal government (Parks Canada), non-government organizations, industry, and First Nations. Nicole has held numerous positions on boards and committees and has overseen and managed a plethora of projects involving small and medium-sized water systems, water conservation projects, bylaw/policy development, waste reduction initiatives, renewable energy projects, and carbon (green-house gas) reduction strategies. Her diverse skill set includes liaising with regulatory bodies, project management, technical report writing, and project coordination.

Ryan, Civil

Job Titles:

Ryan, Civil EIT, Project Coordinator with 5 years of experience in project coordination, asset management, design, and construction both within the public and private sectors. He has provided design support for many mid-scale projects within the field of civil infrastructure with a focus on water and wastewater system design and upgrades. His technical writing, construction coordination and client communication skills are a great asset to 9dot. He has quickly become an integral part of the design and consultation team. His strong written communication skills and construction background provides an excellent foundation for his work with assessments, strategic planning, and complex design build projects that 9dot is commonly involved in throughout BC and Alberta.

Steven Thomson

Steven Thomson, P.Eng, started 9dot Engineering Inc. with the goal of providing Engineering Services that are innovative and well executed. In practice, this translates into developing unique methods of designing systems for rural communities and clients, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution. We understand that design for small communities requires a different approach than an urban setting. With every project, 9dot Engineering Inc. is open to different approaches, creating value in new ideas. We pride ourselves in communicating transparently, professionally and to listening to our client's needs as well as any concerns that contractors and regulatory bodies may have. Steven is a Civil Engineer and Project Manager with hands-on experience in project management and construction for civil and structural engineering projects in BC, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. He is the principal engineer for 9dot Engineering Inc. with a proven track record for seeking new solutions to old problems by looking at the big picture and "keeping things simple".
