Arieta Xhema

Arieta is just starting out in the dental field but looking forward to a long career! She graduated from UConn in 2021 with my Bachelor's of Science in Molecular Cell Biology, with a minor in Healthcare Management and Insurance Studies. In 2022 Arieta graduated from Tunxis Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant, with x-ray and general chairside certifications. Aside from dentistry she also works as a pharmacy technician. Arieta enjoys talking with patients and helping them feel comfortable during their dental visit. Outside of school and work Aritea loves to lift at the gym, spend time with her family through going to her siblings' sports games and construction work, and playing with her dog (mini bear) Beni.

Dana Cipriano

Dana has been a dental hygienist since graduating from Lincoln College of New England with her associates degree in 2016. She then attended University of Bridgeport's Fone's School of Dental Hygiene to continue her education and obtain her bachelor's degree in 2019. With years of experience in pediatrics and working with the special needs population, she enjoys the variety of patients that Farmington Family Dentistry provides and encouraging patients to care for their smiles. In her spare time, Dana enjoys riding and competing with her horse, Kit, supporting her husband in motorsports, and spending time with her big family!

Dawn Moore

Dawn gratefully joined the Farmington Family Dentistry team in 2019 after she and Dr Wilhelms met at the Connecticut State Dental Association annual meeting. Dawn brings 40 years of clinical experience to the office and often knows what the doctors need before they do!! She loves to chat with everyone and can calm down even the most anxious patient. In addition to her vast experience, she brings a positive vibe that cannot be missed. Outside of the office Dawn loves to travel, go to craft fairs, exercise and spend time with her family.

Dr. Sydney Hofer

Dr. Hofer is also a graduate of Farmington High school, and has always dreamt of being a dentist since a young age. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Health from University of Connecticut where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors Program. She attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2018. Dr. Hofer was the president of her dental class and upon graduation was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She was also awarded the American College of Dentists Outstanding Student Leader award and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics. Dr. Hofer continued her education and New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where she completed a general practice residency. Dr. Hofer loves general dentistry because it allows her to connect with her patients and coordinate care that best serves their overall dental health. She is always looking to learn a new technique or procedure that will help her patients! Dr. Hofer lives in the Farmington area with her husband, Matt. In her free time she enjoys baking, watching sports, crafting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Kathryn L. Wilhelms

Dr. Wilhelms established Farmington Family Dentistry in 2009. She had the support of a fantastic staff as she started this adventure. Dr. Wilhelms grew up on Long Island and attended SUNY Stony Brook where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She came to Farmington to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1988. She was awarded the International College of Dentistry Award for Excellence in Dentistry. Dr Wilhelms continued her education at Hartford Hospital in the General Practice Residency Program. She volunteered at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine as a clinical preceptor in the Prosthodontics clinic from 1990-1992. She continued to pay it forward as a member of the medical staff at Hartford Hospital volunteering as an attending doctor in the Department of Dentistry from 1996-2011. Dr. Wilhelms genuinely enjoys being a part of a family practice because it allows her to form lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She continually is looking for the best materials, techniques and equipment to give her patients the highest quality care available. When Dr. Wilhelms is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the Connecticut shore, staying active and is always on the lookout for a great recipe that will become the next Miranda classic!!

Maria Sanchez-Williams

Maria is that big smile you see and the warm hello you hear when you walk in the door!! She serves as our Insurance Specialist. Maria joined the Farmington Family Dentistry staff in 2017 and it was like she was always meant to be here!! Maria came to the practice with 10 years' experience in the insurance industry. She works with our patients to update their coverage, verify benefits and help process the claims. She is also our go to for all things Invisalign!! She is always happy to answer questions, plan appointments and help resolve concerns. Maria acknowledges that working with insurance companies can be challenging but she enjoys helping patients understand their benefits. "It is important to me that your visit to our office is a good experience and you can count on us." When Maria is not in the office, she loves spending time with her family and can often be seen on the sidelines of the soccer fields around town, part time front desk Farmington Family Dentistry, full time soccer mom, she loves it!!

Rosa Lachance

Rosa is our newest addition to the front desk crew as our Insurance Coordinator. Any questions you may have regarding your dental benefits, scheduling appointments, or even simply assisting our patients for fast check-in, Rosa is ready to help. New to the dental field, she comes well equipped to handle any of our patients - even the toughest ones. She served our state as a Parole Officer for the State of CT for over 22 years. After retirement, Rosa joined Farmington Family Dentistry and has been a great asset. She is friendly and always has a smile on her face (even if you can't see it behind the mask). Her friendly and bubbly personality will quickly engage you and make you feel as though you are family. Rosa lives in Farmington with her husband and daughter who keep her busy with FHS sports and activities.

Samantha Dadonna

Samantha is a 2011 graduate from Briarwood College's dental hygiene program and is also certified in local anesthesia. She has a genuine interest in helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health and strives in providing a positive dental experience. Growing up in Wolcott, Sam now lives in Southington with her husband Anthony. They both spend a lot of time with their large family and also love traveling together whenever they can.

Sarah Sims

From her cheerful smile to her warm welcome, Sarah is sure to make you feel at home from the second you step through the door. Her positive, can-do attitude is felt by patients and staff alike. Sarah's goal is to ensure each patient has a smooth visit at the office and leaves with a smile on their face. Sarah graduated with an Associates Degree in Social Work. She loves fostering puppies through the rescue program she volunteers with. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys snowboarding, jet skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Theresa Antonio-Greiner

Theresa has been a dental hygienist with Farmington Family Dentistry since its inception in 2009. She received her Associates of Science from the Tunxis Community College Dental Hygiene program in 1991, making this her 30th year as a registered dental hygienist. Theresa makes it a priority to connect with her patients and make them feel comfortable in the dental chair. She loves working with children and has extensive experience working in pediatrics. When she's not working, Theresa enjoys spending time with her entire family at their home in Unionville. She also has a passion for party planning and loves to entertain friends and family.
