CRESCENT CITY CAFE

The Crescent City Cafe at Rayne is run by volunteers, from hosts to servers to the cooks. Each volunteer is eager to help people that are homeless, to give back, and to create change in their community. The Crescent City Cafe believes that we can and will do powerful things when connected with one another in service to our community. Volunteers are needed from 7am until 10:30am on the first and third Saturdays of each month and must be 18 years of age or older... The Crescent City Cafe serves the poor and marginalized members of our community with dignity and provides individuals the opportunity to build relationships and connect with one another through the sharing of a meal. We currently host free breakfasts twice a month for the homeless and low-income population of New Orleans and plan to open a pay-what-you-can community cafe in the near future. Since serving our first breakfast in 2009, we have provided our guests the chance to be served a delicious meal while simultaneously..
