HIGHLAND DISABLED RAMBLERS

Highland Disabled Ramblers (HDR) is a group which enables mobile disabled members to access and enjoy our beautiful Highland countryside, using rough terrain mobility scooters. The group was set up in 2001 and is run by disabled people with able bodied friends... During some rambles we have a ranger or professional guide with us to enhance our enjoyment and understanding of the area where we are. There is time for photography and admiring the sights and sounds around us. All rambles are planned beforehand and are led by a group member. In addition to the rambles we hold three winter indoor meetings where we have a speaker or hold a quiz... We produce a quarterly newsletter for members, Rambling On, which gives details of upcoming rambles and how to get to the start point, as well as reports/stories of rambles recently enjoyed.
